robson did sign sharp,beattie,naysmith,speed,thats why we all had great hopes for that season,but unfortunatly he signed good quality players,but could,nt get them to gell

Whoever it was, it was an awful piece of business, in the Clive Mendonca mould. You just know that in the next few years he will come back to haunt us on numerous occasions. We should never have taken him back.

Didn't happen that way with Robson though did it?

Fact is, when playing for Utd Billy tries to be Wayne Rooney and chase balls into the flanks. Due to being so eager to score, he's constantly offside and out of position. Even after he scored the goals such as the hattrick against QPR, he tried far too hard due to the pressure on him.

He'll always do well elsewhere at this level, sadly it seems it's extra difficult for him to replicate this form at Bramall Lane.
