I just had a look at Glandular fever and the infection lasts for 2/3 weeks but then fatigue sets in. Here's what it says.

How long on average does fatigue last for with glandular fever?
Prolonged fatigue. More than 1 in every 10 people with glandular fever will experience prolonged fatigue, which lasts for six months or more after the initial infection.

So if he's the one in 10 then surely he won't play again this season. Such a shame for the lad.

think CW said he’s on his way back

Wilder said he was close to a return, along with Freeman in his latest interview. Certainly sounded more like when rather than if he returns this season. Here's hoping he comes back in for the final push anyway.

Plus with Holmes and Wilson coming in we have plenty of options in the forward cadre so no point rushing anything. There was also more than a hint of seriousness when Wilder said that Brooks being ill during January may have done us a favour. I would be hugely surprised if we sold him before the summer.

If he’s one of the 90% though he’ll be fine :)

It knocked the shit out of me for months when I had it.

Matt Prestridge on the Alan Biggs show said Brookes was getting tired just climbing the stairs at Shirecliffe

I had the fatigue for a couple of weeks before feeling unwell. I was right as rain after about another 2 weeks or so.

Must have been fortunate.

Give him a full bottle of Minadex on February 1st,he will be fine to play that afternoon.

I had malaria, typhoid, anthrax and whooping cough all at the same time and still turned out for Greenside u18s

Someone else wanting attention. Do your homework, and listen to wilders last interview. Brooks will be back shortly

Given that he is an athlete he is more likely to recover faster. Plus he is under constant medical and fitness control, in the new Blades regime.

....in the forward cadre so no point rushing...

Not wanting attention just posting a legit comment on a fans forum in this country of freedom and democracy. Forums wouldn't be forums if no-one posted questions/ links and such . Anyway, lets hope one day to see you post something positive and constructive to this forum......although i doubt it!

Apparently he's aiming to be back for the Wolves game.

Agree, Wilder was interviewed after the Preston game today and he said Brooks should be FIT for selection NEXT WEEK.

Saw young David obliging people with photos in Waitrose car park about 2.30 waiting for his mates I reckon ,tracky on looking fit and ready ,although he looks about 12.

Brooks, Brooks will tear u apart again !!!! Cant wait to see the lad back in a blades shirt :-)
