In his post match interview the manager spoke about the players having to get on with the game and accept the crowd(or something to that effect). It seemed to me there was a hidden hint that he thinks the reason we were so poor was because of the home supporters.

Remember you dont have to be paranoid just because they are all out to get you!!!

I definately got the same impression dd, i was thinking don't you dare have a go at us when I was listening to the radio.

If he is, and he's trying to get the crowd to stop being negative, I hardly think that's the right way to do it - all that will happen is that the crowd will get worse!

I booed at full time on Tuesday for the first time ever.

Yeah, he did come over as though he was blaming the crowd....

What will it be like when the pigs come to town and we play that shyte.... it will be alot worse i think....

See to me, he didn't come across as being critical and chose his words pretty carefully.

He didn't commit either way, perhaps slightly hinting towards the players getting carried away with themselves and not doing the basics.... As in, the atmosphere making them think they were better than they are or making them think they can slack on the basics/dirty stuff.

For me, I think what he said was fairly positive regarding the atmosphere, but inside he will be thinking what you are thinking.

We should be trying to help and creating a good atmosphere, not hindering by groaning/jumping on peoples backs/booing.

They know full well what the fans were thinking and feeling, without the need to "helpfully" create a crap atmosphere.

Playing at BDTBL must be a very daunting experience given the current apathy of supporters but this problem, in my opinion, has been fueled by the board following a month of awful PR.

A big name signing is the only way i can see for the board to get the crowd of the teams back but, with the window about to close, it looks very unlikely.

It'll be interesting to see the crowd response on Saturday... as the away crowd does tend to be more positive and supportive than the mass at the Lane.

Let's face it, the atmosphere at the Lane has been awful lately. There's no noise at all.

Alot of you know what I'm like at games, I'm the same most of the time and always will be. I sing as much as I can and get behind the team.

However, at the moment I can see why the atmosphere is like it is. We're playing negatively, and that's what the crowd see, so the crowd becomes agitated (sp?) and negative aswell. There's not much happening with us at the moment to get me out of my seat, and that's why the crowd aren't lifting the team.

The crowd can't give a good atmosphere if the players are playing shite. It'd be like me praising my daughter as she sticks her fingers in the plug socket.

Tuesday was fucking awful, a local derby played with no passion at all and they wonder why the fans get on their backs, we pay our hard earned money to watch them and if they play absolutely shite how can they expact anything less. They need to know the fans are not happy with the performances.

It still remains a mystery as to why our midfield is still shite. KB should have sorted it out by now. But it's the key area of the field where we are just not good enough in.

Very very true, also it is always a better atmosphere we look like scoring, doesn't seem to affect it if we concede just as long as we score more. As an example V Forest in the play off semi.....
