This season we have lost 9 (could even be 12) points the game after an international break, why do we find it so hard to play our game while others don't?

Interesting, I actually thought we’d come out of them quite well this season. What games were they ?

I guess today is amplified because of the importance of points at this stage of the season.

Peroni?

Fuck knows why they had to go to Valencia. Strange idea.

Sept 8 International break lost the following game to Bristol C 1-0
Oct 13 International break lost the following game 2-1 to Derby
Nov 17 International break drew the following game 2-2 with Rotherham
March 23 International break lost following game to Bristol 3-2.

Coincidence or something that needs to be looked at by management.

FFS our players hate the breaks as much as we do, I think the breaks are only good for teams out of form to regroup.

Game before the break of Sept 8 beat Villa 4-1
Game before the break of Oct 13 beat Hull 1-0
Game before the break of Nov 17 win /draw with pigs 0-0
Game before the break of March 23 beat weeds 1-0

Before breaks WWDW

After breaks LLDL a momentum killer

I really thought they would have woken up to it this time. Obviously not.

No excuses for our piss poor showings after every single break. They undoubtedly need to look at it.

Yep, it is a momentum killer and the this needs to be looked at going forward. It's not coincidence.

Wank, ruin the season.
All internationals should be played closed season end of!

I know it wouldn’t be a thought process used by many but I wouldn’t postpone any games in the international period, I’d just get on with it, they’re a pain in the arse. Every team has a squad of atleast 25 players so they should all be able to put a side out.

To be fair, I thought this break had come at a good time for us - the games against Brentford and Weeds were energy sapping, full on matches and we were probably ready for a break before the final push.
It doesn’t help that we had 4 or 5 jetting off on international duty and that Brizzle had a fortnight to prepare for us on the training pitch. But, we also had two weeks to prepare and you wouldn’t have thought it given yesterday’s lacklustre performance (and lack of a plan B).
If there is a pattern developing in that we perform poorly after international breaks, then I’m afraid this is an issue the management team should be looking to address and rectify. Any lapse in motivation or urgency is criminal at this stage given our current position and what’s at stake.
However, if there’s one thing Lord Wilder’s been good at this season, it’s keeping his calm after the disappointments and orchestrating a positive reaction and performance in response...god I hope he does it again!

Wonder if any of the local journos are brave enough to question Wilder about the international break affect?

Mind you, he'd probably bite their head off wouldn't he.

This has everything to do with mindset and also complacency, we need to change the routine to make sure they’re well drilled for the first fixture after the break, it’s like they’ve forgot the shape, positioning and lose the intensity.

We got well played by Bristol yesterday though of those days but not one we can afford to have in this run of fixtures.

He may very well bite their head off but it’s a valid question to ask.
