Played RM in a 4-5-1 and did fine. Had to work hard defensively, especially first 30 minutes. Couldn't find space for runs on the ball. Involved in Norway biggest chance. Went off at 0-1. Scoreline harsh on Norway who did well until two quick goals from Spain after maybe too many substitutions (4) from Norway. But we probably felt it was a good opportunity to beat them so we went for it.

Thought best chance for Norway came just after he went off...broke down the right (where he had just been subbed from) and chipped a nice ball across which was just side foot volleyed wide.

I was impressed by Norway. Should have had a couple of goals but for some bad luck and good Spanish defending. Maybe just lacked that killer finish.
Thought Sander played well. Did some nice stuff down the right hand side.
The subs upset the balance and the defense was all over the place in last five minutes.

They were in the squad for the last match who won 4.0 and Doyle came on late in the game but Macca didnt play

What was their issue with him? I didn't see the game so cannot comment.

Norwegians on Twitter giving him alot of stick too (fun using the auto translate feature)

So it's not just us on here who are giving him a hard time.

My favorite Norway tweet was a gif of a sloth trying to grab something that kept getting away from him.

(Although Bergen Blade thinks he played ok so at least there's 1 positive critique lol)

There was one bloke at TV2 who gave him 3/10. It's probably boring to give everybody 5 or 6 all the time. It doesn't create much interest I suppose.

3/10 for me means the player had a stinker. Berge didn't. He was just average. Worked hard defensively, steady on the ball. He was part of a team that had to soak up some pressure the first 30 minutes. Norway created a couple of really good chances, and restricted Spain to fewer than normal. Fotmob's Berge rating was second best in the side, which although you shouldn't take too much from, doesn't suggest he was awful. Involved in maybe Norway's biggest chance. But not much fancy apart from that, and it's not surprising criticism have to be directed at someone.

When Norway did make some "exciting", attacking changes Spain punished us by scoring two more.
 
Ndiaye substituted with about 10 to go.....not injured........just looked a little knackered. Berge on for Norway for the last 15.

We're in decent shape for Saturday I'd say. Anel played his last game of this break on Sunday, Baldock didn't get on last night, Berge should be fresh and no one but Jebbison is injured.....so as far as the starting 11 goes we're probably as good as could be hoped for
 



Tommy starting tonight for Eng U21 at Craven Cottage - McAtee on the bench. He didn't get on last time - perhaps will get a run in 2nd half as it's a friendly.
