Good evening all,
The Inter Blades also managed to put three past Oxford on Saturday, as they played the Oxford United supporters team in the morning prior to the FA Cup match.
Due to an injury/work crisis, we started the game with just 11 players, fortunately another arrived later just as we lost one to injury.
I wasn't there myself, but I'm told we grafted out a good win playing some decent stuff at times.
Andy Wood scored twice in the first half on his return to the side, after absence due to the cricket season and injury. We let Oxford back into it before half time with a handball penalty which Oxford converted to make it 2-1 at the break. A goal in the second half from distance from Adi Brown settled the game.
A big thanks to all the lads for putting a good shift in, and especially to Colin Rowlands who volunteered to go in goal for the whole match and baring the penalty would have kept a clean sheet (we're without a keeper at the moment). Also I'm told mentions should go to our debutant Stanny, and newish players Jon & Matt who all produced good performances.
So we've now record 4 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses this season which should see us back in the top 6 once the table us updated:

This Saturday, the Inter Blades are at Handsworth Rec on St. Josephs Road to play a match against local Saturday morning side AC Southside (10:30 ko).
Cheers,
