If we get any to any of the following you can kiss the season goodbye.

O Hare
Blaster
Hamer
Souttar
Moore
Burrows
Gilchrist

Sadly what was on show from others tonight was a concern, we are still a long way from having a promotion squad in my opinion. A long term injury to any of those and we’ve got nothing of quality to take it on.
Next 5-6 games gonna be bleak, I’m really
Hoping it’s fitness, sharpness and bedding in cos if not we’ve got trouble ahead.
Also hoping this tekover is done and we get at least 3 more in before friday

The squad can cope with short term injuries to one or two players, but a longer layoff for more than one. Not so easy.

Despite my repeated pessimism, we proved we can manage without Blaster, and we also have a few players on 4 yellow cards. Anel, Souza or Hamer miss one game each, but not all at the same time.

Wilder has recognised the injury problem and he is better at managing it, so don’t give up yet. I said before the rebuild was only half done, but the academy lads have all stepped up. Brooks looks a good prospect, but what if his ceiling is the second tier?

My mid table finish prediction still stands, but we will struggle with any long term injuries, and multiple suspensions now the fixtures get harder. I am getting more confident now, but it’s still only 10 games in to a long hard season. 🤷‍♂️😉

We played without some of them against Luton and looked fine, yes we need most of those players for most matches but have the depth to cope. (I would still like to strengthen the LW and ST in Jan despite my optimisim)

If Gus, Anel and Vini get a yellow against Leeds won't they miss the Boro game

Cards more a worry than injuries so far. Might be the sniper has finally moved on

That’s how dangerous it is! Can Wilder, and the squad cope with y that?

That’s worse case scenario. It’s possible, but unlikely and could be prevented by clever squad rotation.
Cross that bridge if and when we come to it.

Life is full of what ifs.

Based on his Premier League performances last season (in a badly struggling team) against Liverpool (h), Brentford (h), Villa (a) and West Ham (h), I’d be pretty sure it isn’t.

We might disagree. My view of his ability has been very restricted by my location, but I have yet to see evidence of a PL standard of football brain. Works hard and has a good physique, but I have yet to see shine at the top level?

Man City have 13 fit players as of today, according to Guardiola. Sack the manager, coaches and medical staff. Worse record than Heckingbottom 🤣

See Tom Davies has played two games in a row for the U21's, reckon we're not far off seeing him on the bench

In all seriousness is this our best period of being relatively injury free in around 5 years?

Not tempting fate, but other than Davies is there anyone else not fit to play?

Is it clever squad rotation, or is Wilder showing favourtism to those he brought in? If we are getting fewer injuries, does it really matter?

Robbo is due a start as replacement for Anel (suspended).

“13 fit players” - does that include the hundreds of academy players who would be fairly distributed amongst the rest of the football world if they weren’t allowed to buy up all of the best young talent. He is in a dreadfully difficult position 😂

It's easy to overlook, but the injury record has been a huge success of the new regime. Starting the season, we knew we had very little quality in depth beyond the starting XI. If we were to achieve anything, the medical team had to pull off an unbelievable feat in keeping those key players fit.

So far, they have not only managed that but also reintegrated players I had almost written off in Brewster, RND, and (hopefully soon) Tom Davies.

Was a strange decision to make Robbo captain at the start of the season

He is rotating the squad and it's what he has done before during his last spell with us in the Championship.

It was probably done before the rebuild began. Wilder would need someone he could be sure of, in case the others could not perform.
Robbo is the logical choice to replace Anel while he is suspended. If he chooses to shuffle at the back instead, Robbo has no future at the lane.

We've got JRS , Brooks , Burrows , McCallum , Campbell , Hamer & O'Hare who can play on the left wing.
But we do need a striker and CB as cover for Souttar & Anel who is closer to their height & quality.

I don't think any of those are inverted left wing players that Wilder wants, the only one that "fits" is Brewster but he looks better more central.

Hamer and O'Hare have been playing there but are rarely wide like JRS on the Right.
