Has anything been announced/released on these injuries? Do we even know what they were - hammys?

When Sharp went down, his body language appeared to be that he knew something bad. He pulled his armband off and started slapping his hand with it. To me that was the sign of a player who knows he's out for some time.

Also, Egan - is that a 3 game ban?

The squad was lined up yesterday and shot like a lame horse after the national

Egan should only be 1 match. but keep checking here, nothing to show yet

They both walked off the pitch so they may miss a match or two at a guess. As Ricky says Egan is just a one match ban.

Fingers crossed the injuries are just minor ones.

We normally go into the play offs bang out of form with no fit strikers, so Sharp might be the start of it :(

Egan one game ban

Egan 1 game ban.

Sharp should be back according to s4-blade

Basham's never got injured before as far as I can remember. He probably wondered what the hell had happened. Fingers crossed it's not a bad one.

Billy was stood in Dore clapping half-marathon runners past yesterday morning so hoping that means it's not too bad otherwise he'd have been home feet up

It will be. Derrick Williams got exactly that for deliberate handball last September for Blackburn.
The 'Essential Information For Players' that the FA issues does confirm that red card for 'Denying a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity' is one game.

Someone on Facebook said they saw Basham in Meadowhall and he said he was out for 2-3 weeks.

A lady posted on Facebook that Sharp finds out today how bad his injury is, but wasn't too confident of a quick return apparently. She posted a picture standing with him at the post match presentation, which suggests she wasn't bullshitting.

Not sure on Bash.

Somewhere in a bedsit above the shops on the manor top, a dishevelled body stirs in his bed, knocking last nights takeaway wrappers and empty cans of kestrel super onto the floor. A mobile phone beeps as a text message is received. “Shit, what time is it? 11? I’ve not been as sleep long”. He fumbles for his phone, and in the half light of the room he reads the message “Hi Conor, this is Chris. This is your time to shine!”.

Blades plan ahead and spend good money on cover for Sharp, signing Scott Hogan

No sign of injury to Sharp, all looking good for top 2

Gets into last few games and oh, what do you know, Sharp gets a season ending injury

This helps us miss out on automatic and secure our natural play off place

Hogan finally starts to show something and single handedly fires us past Bristol City to reach the final to play.......... Aston Villa

Hogan ineligible against parent club

Madine banned for 6 months for a vicious headbutt on Lee Johnson in the tunnel

McGoldrick's perfect fitness record finally ended by a hamstring injury in training

Conor Washington up front on his own at Wembley

No shots registered at all but we somehow make it to penalties

Jack Grealish scores the winner and strips down to his pants celebrating in front of our fans

You all know this is what happens.

Is it about now that Hogan decides that he needs a hernia op? :(

Worse still he has a blinding end to the season getting us to the play off final only to realise we are playing Villa. Leon scores the winner against Weeds on Saturday but knocks himself unconscious colliding with the post and missing the rest of the season with concussion problems. Ched gets cited for pushing Bartons head into Stendels face last Saturday and gets a 10 match ban. McGoldricks injury problems finally catch up with him in the play off semi as he scores the winner against Brizzle but pulls his shoulder as he raises his arm in salute. Step up Connor Washington for the final, its the Blades way:(

This guy gets it!

That’s very community spirited of him, but if he had a spare couple of hours, he should’ve been working on his first touch.

Rules seem very complicated these days. Are Leon and Ched our players again after their last matches at Fleetwood and Wigan, or will the deals last to the end of the play-off period? We could put Ched on for the penalty shoot-out at Wembley - he has unfinished business in the play-offs.

ah yes, I love ending good season with nothing but disappointment... Just some that stick in the memory:

97 - Don Hutchison breaks arm in Play off final... So begins my hatred of 'Glad all over'

2009 - 7000 plus Blades down at Palace, last game of the season to witness Craig Beattie have the shitest performance ever up front

2012 - Exeter - away. Slim chance of going up in the autos. Ched locked up, not even his poor back up plan (can't even remember his name) to turn to as he'd gone and had his hernia op.... So it was down to a slower, lazier, heavier James Beattie to put in a ridiculous challenge and get himself sent off.

Same point in the season 8 years ago we lost Kevin MacDonald (hamstring), Ched (Dickstrung) & Matty Lowton was sent off...

Oh to be a Blade .... sorry

We had only 3 games left when we lost Ched. It was the day before playing at MK Dons.
