I understand something may come out soon :)
The team involved wear familiar colours ;)

Familiar colours eh? Could be from one of these then

Sunlan'
Southampton
Exeter
Brentford
Lincoln

Not sure if any of them have any Argies though. Perhaps Sunlan had that ex Boro player, left back, Julio Arca - always crocked though - so perfect for us. Especially if Naysmith doesn't accept the deal.

You can argue all you like about Pele, Maradona, Zidane, Platini, Beckenbauer, Cruyff and all the rest.

But the harsh truth of the matter is that they weren't Tony Currie. They weren't even close. After all, not one of them wore the stripes. So they weren't close. T.C. wins, because he's T.C.

The rest? Mere pretenders to the throne.

Estudiantes or union santa fe? I'm going to be on holiday when, i guess, we're going to play them - officially gutted

The former would work out due to a certain link to their manager.

Dreaming of course.

/me whistles innocently.

You aren't meaning Brodie are you Foxy, but then the colours would be wrong?

I should have guessed- we're signing Juan Ojeda to replace Kenny and Ariel Ortega to replace Sharp. Both from River Plate.

I used to rather like watching the rather mis-named 'Gentile' what an assasin he was..

Yes, Claudio was a bit of a thug. He stopped the opposition with cunning, guile and mostly brutality. In the modern game he'd stay on the pitch until his first challenge.

However, you are all wrong on the defenders. Bobby Moore at his best was a better player than Maldini and Beckenbauer. But the one for me who stood above them all was Franco Baresi, totally immaculate. And made the young pup Maldini into a bit of a player as well.

Psycho Pearce has to be worth a mention if we're talking defenders. IMO the last Englishman who would have made a World XI

Not if Carl Bradshaw was in the World XI, he used to destroy Pearce every single time.

Bradders, my all time Blades Legend, Psycho was lucky he didn't have to face Bradders too often.

Pearce only played at left back because he knew that if he'd been at right back his forehead would have been stamped with "Owned By Dane Whitehouse".

Top Shout there.. If anyone wants to see some top drawer defence to attack then check him out on youtube. BRILLIANT!!

Pele's record at the very highest level - the World Cup - eclipses the lot of them put together. Zidane was a Sunday Leaguer by comparison.

Pele, Federer and Ali - unquestionably the greatest of all time.

I don't think any of the other players mentioned could score a volley with their weaker foot like the one Zidane scored in the Champions League final.

Foxy check your PM's. Don't want to post it and get you in trouble.

They are still coming and will arrive around the end of July but you are barking up the wrong tree looking for two new Argentinian signings.

I'm sure the club will announce it soon enough.

If we do end up signing one of them Birch will have played an absolute blinder, really can't see it happening.
