although mentioned in another thread i would like to praise mcgoldrick for the way he tried to assist freeman, i suspect anyone would do the same but credit where credits due. All the best to kieran and pray for a speedy and full recovery.
On a side note think mcgoldrick would be a usefull addition to next years premiership squad

A superb player. Thought one bit when he took the ball down in front of the dugouts and beat his man with strength and speed was superb. Although how he missed the sitter leading up to Freeman's injury, I'll never know!

Said the same yesterday. A fellow pro showing concern and respect for an opposing player. Top man.

He looks a talented player with great feet, but somehow he didn't threaten as much as I feared. Would need an Ipswich fan to say whether he delivers as much as he threatens.

I thought he was poor ,didn't threaten at all especially second half. He and Freeman had pleasantries in the tunnel before the game ,I think they were together at Forest when they were younger.

OK, well done for the concern showed.

Waghorn looked decent whereas didn't think Mcgoldrick was too clever at all.

As a pair though they worked well and it was the only area where I though Ipswich were any good.

We should have done them by at least 2 goals and probably 3.

Weren't we interested in Waghorn?

I didn’t go yesterday what’s the update on Freeman’s injury?

Thought he looked quality now and again, however ccv seemed to cope with him easily

Thought McGoldrick looked a decent player, he showed some good skill and close control. He didn't threaten much because he hardly got any support.

All about opinions etc, but I thought he looked very dangerous in the first half. He faded about in the second, possibly tired legs but it coincided with the re-org after Freeman's departure.

How the f@“£ do you lot keep a check on our own players, let alone the opposition? I am so wrapped up in what’s happening I rarely get to ‘critique ‘ any one specific and certainly can’t remember there names or numbers. Before anyone asks, I have supported the Blades since before Cec Coldwells testimonial and have seen TC and co in full flow! #frustratedtof@(£

Thought he was their most dangerous player and was relieved (and surprised) when they took him off.

On McGoldrick, I thought he was their best player and everything they did attacking wise wen through him. I was extremely surprised they took him off

They played together at Forest so I suspect he knows him pretty well. Nice to see though, they were a physical side but without the theatrics unlike their east Anglian rivals.

Always liked him as a player, quality, and as you say what he did for Kieron was pure class.

He also seemed to be having a good old chat with Leon when they were waiting for kick off, were they together at the Pigs?

Thread bump. Just to show we were discussing his abilities last Oct.

I think he had a great game that day. Could see he'd be a decent addition. A clear step up from Clayton IMO.

Is this the match where CCV destroyed Freeman or the one where he cracked his ribs?

From an Ipswich supporter on 365...

Was arguably the most naturally gifted player in the squad. Very pleasing on the eye to watch. Was probably the highest paid but missed half of each of the last three seasons through injury. His family are all still based in Nottingham and apparently he was driving up and down there every week.

Pleased to have got him off the wage bill as it gives Hurst more to play with. However, would be delighted to see someone else get a full and successful season out of him. Go for a low base wage and load it top heavy with performance related bonuses or you could find yourself chucking money down the drain. Alternatively, play the ball to his feet and don't have him constantly twisting and turning chasing long balls over the top.

I've always liked McGoldrick, it's probably another case of "I wish we'd signed him 10 years ago" but I'm used to that by now and some of these turn out well. Much better than his brother Eddie as well, he must have been the milkmans ;)

That milkmans got a lot to answer for del.busy lad when I was going up,how many times have you heard it.

As long as he’s not injured, there is no doubt in my mind that he would be a good addition for 12 months - improvement as an option over Ched, Lavery and Clayton - as long as 2 additional 1 st team options are still in the plan!!! ⚔️⚔️

Matt, looking forward to his hat trick on his debut then....the Ipswich fans point about making his package heavily dependent on appearances is a good one
