Long shots going in all the time, thats 4 games of the trot that shots from outside the box have gone it. Absolutely sick of it. Hasn't just been the last 4 games either, it's been going on for a while.

Close the fuckers down!!!

Give over... It's a netbuster, what would you have them do? Charge down anyone who passes the halfway line. We have trounced 80% of the teams we have played and you're trying to crucify the defence for a 30 yarder!!

It's not the hallway line, it's a person outside the box lining up to shoot, and 4 players just ball watch

Net buster? He got his hand to it and arguably should have saved it. 3 defenders had the opportunity to close him down but didn’t.

How about doing something basic like making sure the clearance doesn't go to the opposition. The OP is right, it seems to be a recurring issue.

Come on!! The guy has lashed it in, if we could attract world class keepers then fair enough, if we would have scored a goal like that, we would all be lording it, not suggesting the keeper should have saved it!

Against those who have one point away all season... fucking great stuff
I think some people are getting overly negative just on the back of what maybe 2 bad results but 20 minutes left. This was bound to happen at some point this season when we don't get the right result!. Wilder will already have a plan in place to turn things around!!. Keep the faith. In wilder we trust. Utb

OP is spot on. We’ve conceded almost identical goals to this against Forest, Burton, Fulham, Hull. Same area of the field, same distance out. Blackman should have saved it today, and defense need to do better to prevent these goals.

It’s only a 6% chance of scoring from that distance, yet we seem to concede one every other game!

That’s all they had. One pot shot from range, then park the bus.

I have absolutely no idea why Blackman didn't save that. He had it and would have saved it if he kept his arm extended. He seemed to pull it back in at the last moment. It has happened several times this season, at the same time as us nit closing down the shooter. 50/50 blame.

It looked like it took a slight deflection. But yeah we seem to be a sponge for long range shots.

Blackman could have done better yet again with that goal, he's so overrated I don't know why Wilder is sticking with him ahead of Moore.

Maybe we concede from outside the box because we close them down in the box so well that it’s their only option.

Mind you, when we pull the trigger from distance it usually seems like Simmo time!

There is too many going in. They can all shoot well if they get time and space

Oddly enough , it's a real testament to our defence that teams are forced to shoot from long range . I'd rather we keep restricting the opposition to long range efforts than have them queuing up in the 6 yard box to shoot .

You don’t think in Moore’s only appearance he couldn’t have done better vs Hull? Didn’t exactly push his own case. Blackman has saved us a number of points already this year starting with the first game vs Brentford.

We should close down faster for sure, but the only one I reckon could have been saved was the one against Moore...and that’s debatable...shit happens..some great strikes...

It would just be nice if they would miss more often

Agreed but it was Moore's first game back to be fair, look how consistent he was last season and how many games he kept us in. Blackman's errors against QPR and Middlesborough were poor not to mention his performance against Fulham where he was slow off his line and easily beat.

It's more likely to happen when Bash isn't in a more central role. He's the one most likely to stick his body on the line and get the block in. One area Fleck needs to work on, not much else to criticise the lad for mind.
