If I was a decent player I wouldn't join us permanently.

I'd look at it and think... 'another new manager, they've made a bad start, 6 years in League One, something seems wrong at that club, I'll only join them if they pay me more than anyone else will'.

If I was shit though I'd be thinking... 'this is the perfect club for me'.

We should be able to attract decent players within our wage structure, and if players from the league above want a Championship wage then they should just stay where they are as under 23's players, not playing football. We're also hamstrung with the players Wilder can't get rid of and the best paid right back in the league too.
