There, i've said it.

We have lost far too many games and points already this season to mediocre teams. I mean really crap sides. I thought Doncaster were average. Coventry didn't look like a top 6 side at all. Watford were OK (at best.) Middlesbrough are worse than us but yet still beat us. It's looking bleak.

all i can see at the moment is a very big comparison to Bryan Robson's united team. Pass, pass, pass, then pass some more. When you're losing with 10 to go at home sometimes you need to just fucking lump it forward. If passing it hasn't worked for 80 minutes, why would it work for the last 10? Teams need to adapt to the surroundings and if plan A isn't working, go to plan B (Have we got 1?)

If we go behind, we're really not coming back (with exception of the Burnley game.) You really just can't see it happening. Something isn't right there's no fighting spirit left in the club. Gone are the days when we could go 1 or 2 down at home in the 1st half of the game and say at half time to each other "It's ok, still got 45 mins, we'll win this!" I think taking away the long ball game from united takes away the fight and strength from our game. How many times have Arsenal lost out on the Premiership crown because they couldn't OR wouldn't mix it up with the bullies in the league? I can see us just fizzing out this season. 12th to 14th finish, mass exodus in the summer too. Something needs changing.

1 more thing - I bet we'd be top 8 now if Blackwell was still here!..... And that wasn't a joke

Have you honestly donme any research on this losing at half time comment you make and recovering? Surely the chances of comebacks are enhanced if you have some decent players, you're also less likley to go behind in the first place. Maybe that had something to do with it as well. I know what you mean but about fight and a will to win but I'd rather say a lack of quality is the problem.

I agreed with the first 2 paragraphs and half the second then you lost me. 12th-14th you having a laugh? i'd be happy with 21st at the moment but i seriously believe we may just finish below that. Top 8 under blackie ? Doubt it top 15 maybe. 1 more thing - we,re doomed i do agree with.

The league is absolute toss! Worst i've seen for years. 2 good teams in the league this year and it just so happens they're walking it.

A run of back to back wins 3 or 4 and we're right up there. Problem is i can't see it coming. I doubt we'd have got the draw with Cardiff on opening day if we were playing like we are now. Just like Mr Blackwell never had us in a relegation battle. Don't you think it's strange how he leaves clubs then the following season they get relegated.

Leeds - Losing play off finalists one year relegated next.
Luton - Did a decent job for the short time he was there. Took them on a little cup run and eventually fell out with the club after they sold all his players due to administration.
Blades - Never looked a relegation candidate in Blackwell or Warnocks time at the club (other than the point when they each took over) Blackwell goes and hey presto.

For the second time in a week I'm going to agree with most of what mic is saying here. I'm being drawn to the dark side

I certainly would be chuffed at a 12th to 14th finish! United look like exactly what they are at the moment.....a bottom eight side. Are we doomed? Not sure about that.....its a bit early to say but the signs arent good. Bizarrely I thought the Coventry performance was a massive improvent on the Donny game and we actually created better chances than we did against Burnley IMO. Sadly we made a complete mess of every one we had.

A lack of quality amongst the playing staff is definately the problem, no two ways about it. I very much doubt Blackwell would have us in the top eight. I'm not convinced any manager could get this blend of players pushing for promotion. It needs a big clear out and at least 8 fresh faces to get it up to that standard.

With all due respect I would be taking the red and white specs off and not over estimating the quality of our players. What on earth makes you think (based on what we've seen) that we have a top 6 side?

Simonsen has been indecisive and nervous since he arrived. Nosworthy has been awful. Morgan hasn't been at his best. Bartley is young and inexperienced. Jordan has been totally hit and miss. Yeates had three good games and is now back to being totally anonymous. Britton is a good passer of the ball.....thats it! Quinn is a wildly inconsistent player. Reid is not our player and will only be here a month. Ward is a good player that is totally out of form and Cresswell might as well sit next to me in the stand this season because he's been dire.

It's down to players matt. The manager cant put their boots on for them and go and win the game. The playing staff is mind blowingly average and most Blades can see that. I repect your belief in the players but I have no idea where you get it from.

As long as he persists with the negative 4-5-1 (and it isn't ever 4-3-3 with the players we have) we will suffer deja vu in every game. The opposition knows to keep it tight at the back encourage us out and sting us on the counter because they know we only play one up front and that front man is far too isolated to make any difference or hold the ball up long enough to lay it off to a supporting player (not that we are quick enough to get there to support or play up to the front man as a unit anyway).

It's amatuer management but it appears that Speed and Ellis cannot see it or wont admit they need to change it to suit the capabilities of the squad they have to work with.

A lot of the blame has to be rest on the shoulders of the players, and yet time and again this season they have been found wanting.

We need the players to stand up and be counted and act like men, and what do we have, the ilk of Ched Evans, no heart, no spirit and no bollocks.
