Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but we're holding a press conference at 2pm to unveil a new signing.......exciting stuff!! :)
 



Good to see us get most our money back on Ifill.

God knows who we have got although it would be good to steal another player off l**ds.

£1.75m to £2m seems alright for a 23 year old as he has got time on his side. Leeds fans have their doubts though so we don't know what sort of player we are getting.

If it isnt the one announced this afternoon, it's coming, bar any last second spanners.
 
Cool, I've heard Killa's on his way and I wasn't surprised when i heard about the bid for Nugent either.
 
I'll be happy with killa coming in for 2 million or less, anything more would be paying over the odds for a player who has lost his way of late.

Shame to see Ifill leave without ever really showing his best, i wish him all the best for the future (as long as it is not against us!).

Hopefully it has been postponed because we have a second signing in place and so will announce them both together.

Surely a fee being agreed is a very early part of a transfer deal??
I would've thought there's the small matter of agreeing personal terms with the player and actually getting him to sign some sort of contract before he can be unveiled...:rolleyes:

Radio Sheffield have said the deal for Kilgallon will go through tomorrow for around £1.7m.
 
Seems like it wont happen today hopefully wull be agreed tomorrow im confident its kilgallon been going on for a while now!
 
Killgallon confirmed £2.125m

Neil Warnock's first capture of the transfer window is Leeds defender Matthew Kilgallon.

The monies raked in from the sales of Ade Akinbiyi and Paul Ifill have been re-invested in the Yorkshire-born defender, who celebrates his 23rd birthday on Monday.

Kilgallon has cost the club a fee of £1.75m, which could rise to £2m on certain criteria being met. He has signed a three and a half year contract with the Blades.

He is United's second significant capture from Leeds in the space of six months. Rob Hulse arrived from Elland Road for a fee of £2.125m.

1.75 not soooo bad but i guess the criteria is wether we stay up or not and ill be happy to pay a little extra if we do and i think how many appearances etc he puts in!
 
still dont think wer need him could be a good money maker for us though
 
ye, hope he can play against pompey, would raise the spirit of the crowd, imo
 
Come on killy do the stuff for us!

Not judging him untill he has played for us hopefully he will do a good job for us :)
