We win at Palarse and brum slip up i think it would surpass my favourite day as a Blade way back at Leicester.

Oooh, I dunno! I know what you're saying but they were the glory days, weren't they? Brian Deane, Tony Agana, Ian Bryson, Sir Bob Booker, Lord Wilf of Rostrun, Stan The Man... Will we still be listing the names of our current crop with such rose-tinted spectacles in another 20 years?? Maybe we will but I'm not sure.

Regardless, COYRAWW!!!!!!!

I weren't at Leicester due to being one month old at the time......But, surely that would be a bit better? What with Wednesdays going down too?

I think the main reason is that would have anyone expected us to be in this position at Christmas?

Twas indeed a glorious day.If Mrs BB asks its the fourth best day of my life. If the ex-wife asks its definitely the best!!!:DMade better by the fact we were only in Leicester and could get back to Sheffield in plenty of time to rip some serious piss out of the pigs.

I remember being in the White Lion on Chesterfield Road that night and there was a tense silent stand-off between Blades and Pigs in there. Then one bloke started singing to the tune of "Da doo run run"(bearing in mind fat Twatkinson was pig boss at the time).

"The Forest went to Hillsborough and they beat the pigs,
You're down Ron, Ron, Ron, you're down Ron Ron,
Oh Division 2, Oh that's the place for you,
Oh division2, you're down Ron Ron etc."

Lightened the mood somewhat and even the pigs were laughing.

Leicester, May 5th 1990 will always have a special place in my heart. I was at that world-conquering age of 19 as well. Can't make it on Sun cos of family commitments(my kids bleed me dry!!!). Gonna watch it in my local and will be there in spirit. To those of you going, hope its a great day out, stay out of trouble you pesky kids and if we don't get the result we need we'll do any bastard at Wembley anyways.

COYRAWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
