Another one, Man U away when we were top of the first division after winning I don't know how many of our starting games.
Slightly before my time but my brother in law swears we took over 30k that day and thousands were locked out.
You have to remember in those days it was all pay on the gate.
Always makes me think what this club could have been and maybe still can if we can command that sort of support.
I was there and they locked the gates at 2. Fantastic day despite the defeat. Best and TC were both outstanding. We were still top of the league afterwards (though not for much longer).

the game against the pigs when brownie scored that goal i did my back in at work and was in agony took me 10 mins to cross langsett rd and had to watch it laid on the floor

The night when City did everything in their power to gift Wendy's the win they needed to avoid relegation but they were that shite they couldn't win a throw in !

I was there it was a great night , so I've cheated a bit here , but then again that's how Wendy's and Leeds got into the league anyway.

Bert was one of only a few hundred Unitedites who got in that day.

It was chaos. I got separated from my mates. 14 year old me. On the Stretford End, surrounded by thousands of ManUre fans. And Best scored THAT goal.

My mates were all locked out of that game. So I had some kudos, I suppose. They all went to the Darlo away game in the 4th division though. Not me. I can't remember why not. But it's the one game I wish I had gone to...

Of the games in my lifetime, I would choose Leicester away when we won 5-2 to get promoted. Before then, maybe the TC West Ham game or the 1925 cup final.

Mike Doyle missed a penalty. Ian Bowyer got both goals for Man City

Bert went to that game, no idea why. It was a night game, a big crowd.
That penalty was missed on purpose, he tapped it to the goalkeeper.

Went with three mates, two of us Blades and two owls.

From memory I think Bowyer was the sub and he had not been included in the plan to lose the game!

Have never seen a team so wanting to lose.
