What game would you revisit and why ?

It needs to be in your lifetime, i.e not the cup final v Cardiff in `26 .

You may have been there, or you may have missed it ....

For me .... it's the 5-1 victory v Cardiff City in 1971 - my first full season going to the Lane , i missed that great game because i was too young to go by myself on a Tuesday night , and my Uncle Mick was working nights at Treeton pit (i went to the games with my hero, Uncle Mick, when i first started attending matches) .

What's yours ???

Darlington away.
Fantastic day all round.
Finishing as Champions with (another) great away win, and when I got back my new girlfriend at the time took the lead in having some rumpy pumpy with her for the first time together.
I would deffo go back in time...and have a secret wank first :(

So many …

Cardiff 5-1 H 1970-71. Absolutely.
Leicester 5-2 A 1989-90. Ooh yeah.
West Ham 3-2 H 1974-75. That second half - wow.

Sticking to my lifetime (born July 81) and ignoring the obvious ones (Darlington, Leicester, 2-4), I reckon

Villa away in the cup when we were in L1. Everyone who was there said it was a fantastic day

Northampton away in 2017

Either of the Wednesday wins in 91/92

Or

Leeds in the League cup in 02

I'll say Northampton.

I was at that game. My everlasting memory is persuading my dad at 60+ year to invade the pitch at full time with me. Happy times.
Reminds me of my old man, mid 80s, trying to invade the pitch at The Old Show Ground watching Scunny play Chester.

He could barely get his leg over the wall, and always remember the policeman saying "don't you think you're a bit old for that Sir". I wouldn't mind but he wasn't that old at the time.

Leicester away ............unbelievable day for me

Pigs 2 Blades 4

cant separate these days tbh !!!!

This game had the best atmosphere I've ever witnessed at the lane, the result wasn't bad either

April 27th, 2019.

Sheffield United vs Ipswich Town.

Fleck's corner.

"O'Connell coming in!........that's the one!......forget the maths, the Premier League beckons for Sheffield United!"

Such a fantastic day that I'd head straight for London Road.

Possibly even climb on a bus shelter.......

I thought a couple of them might just make it in the Premier, and yet they all stepped up big style.
If bastard Covid hadn't come along, we woud have finished in the top 8 in May. A 'normal pre-season; and a restart in August, and who knows what might have happened.

Possibly my all time fave line up, just a great bunch of lads where everything gelled and everything clicked into place and for a brief moment in time, we were unstoppable.

Back to the DB days of the 'sum being more than the parts'.

What a squad of triers, who stepped up and showed that they were actualy good footballers.

The one for me is the playoff comeback against those pricks down the road. I genuinely thought we were done and dusted when they scored 2. You just can't help but love Paul Peschisolido.

Blades Vs Leeds 02-03 Worthington (league cup)

Tbh that season will always be my favourite. My first full season supporting the blades.

Heading out of the cup, up pops Jags with a trademark screamer. Remember turning to my Dad asking if it would be 'golden goal' (my knowledge of footy rules was basically all gleaned from FIFA 2001) and you pops Wayne Allison's Arse, and then Nuddy, to seal it.

Absolute scenes. I was only 10 but can still remember the deafening roar.

Leicester away, 15 years old and my dad let me go with friends for the first time at an away match and randomly the 6-1 against chester with my two favourite players getting hatricks (can't remember the year).

Being a kid that period remains my favourite as a blade, used to go everywhere with my dad on Shreds coaches or the car if he was working late 🙂.

In recent times
5-2 v burnley
Absolutely terrorised them 2nd half. Every ball in i was convinced was a goal
