Was curiously talking to an Arsenal fan and he asked me who I would "associate" Arsenal with, the player that first came to mind was Henry, so I asked him about us, and he strangely said the first player that comes to mind was Michael Tonge, kind of shocked me tbh.

I’d say fans aged 25 and under would say Billy Sharp, fans 25-50 would say Billy Sharp/Michael Brown/Brian Deane and 50+ would say Tony Tony Currie.
For other clubs (tried to be alphabetical throughout all the leagues and I’ve chucked some random clubs in but some teams just draw a blank on me for players)

Its a weird one just saying the names of the team as I associate players to the shirt they wore for the club.
