If we were to get an offer for Fleck?

Say Brighton, Huddersfield or Leeds won the play offs and were looking for a dynamic up and coming Midfielder, could they look at Fleck for the Premier League? I certainly think he could play there already.

So if a an offer was to come in would we / should we accept it? If so what should we be talking about in value? I think nothing less than £8m

If you genuinely believe we'd get "nothing less" than 8m for a 25 year old who's 26 in the summer captain blade is worth at least 1.25m

When rather than if. And there will be plenty of others in this team that will test players / boards intentions with seven figure offers.

Of that I have no doubt whatsoever.

Interesting summer ahead !

£2m minimum.

He is as influential to us as Jamie Murphy was and I think we got fair market value for him at the time.

It's reasonable to suggest that Fleck will have suitors, but the fact that he chose to sign for a League One team (when I imagine he had Championship suitors), suggests that maybe he's more keen on play in game games than others.

If the money is right then (regrettably) he will be sold. There will of course always be the fall back, time honoured mantra of 'the player wanted the move so.....'

On a plus note, I don't see Wilder a) letting the club get mugged off over a player's value or b) letting the board mug him off should he not want to sell or c) failing to reinvest the money on a fitting replacement.

When it comes to transfers I have accepted that SUFC will sell all of our talented players at some point, as sure as death and taxes. At the end of the day and to be fair, 90% of clubs do the same at some point.

I imagine that Fleck is one of our highest paid players, being a free and highly sort after. I would also imagine him getting a promotion rise so he will be fairly happy. I think we also have to remember that I don't think on an individual level our players will be that sort after and our team is probably better than the sum of it's part to put it politely.

Tha being daft Rhodes is a proven top end championship goal scorer. Fleck is brilliant and one of my favourite players but to compare the two is ludicrous.

Plus McCabe would snap anyone's hand off at £1.5m so irrelevant anyway.

That thinking should change, you get about £1m for a TV game in the Championship now, I expect us to feature a few times next season on Sky. £1.5m is chicken feed in the Championship these days.

I hope it changes, believe it when I see it though.

I think Fleck will be very happy looking forward to a challenging and exciting season in The Championship with a vibrant ambitious set up.
I don't see interest from the Prem at this stage.
IF he does the business next season then maybe the Jan window would see a few mid to lower end Prem clubs interested.
Frankly I don't see any problems with us being arse raped this close season.
Any decent young talent has already been sold.
Oh. There's Reedy. maybe we gould get lucky and skank a mill from Everton for him.

Would hope we would say 'NO!' but I think (and really hope to be proven wrong!) that we may be more likely to get a big money offer for Jack O'Connell. Utterly outstanding for the most part of the season, can play in more that one position, getting better and better, knows where the net is and a great age to develop into an outstanding footballer at a higher level.
In fact I'd say "WILL" develop into an outstanding footballer at a higher level!
Given our current playing staff I'd also say possibly a bigger miss than Fleck next year.
Nice to be thinking this way though, innit?

Don't think he should go to the PL if they were to be suitors, no doubt he will be able to play competitively in the Championship but I think he ought to prove it first by playing a season or two at that level. He's still young so has plenty of time to potentially play in the PL and hopefully it is with us, if not then I would want the club to command a decent transfer fee for the first time... well ever!
