If we could only defend....

they had 2 chances in first half and scored 2.....they didn't make many in 2nd either...very sloppy.

Cardiff were not even in the game for the most part.

They took there only chances and scored all 3.

It was SUFC vs The Ref tonight not Cardiff.

If we could only defend we may have a chance to sort the rest out.

:(
I thought we defended very well last night, SF. One mistake for the first goal (out on the wing for Cardiff to get the cross in) but the ball dropped (as it did all night) very kindly in their favour. Other than that, I see no reason to complain about the defence at all.

Bromby is the problem at the back for us i think. He wasn't in position again last night when they scored the 1st. He keeps drifiting in to the middle when he should be on the right.

I agree that Bromby has been a bit of problem for us but for their 1st it was Hendrie who tracked their winger back and then just stopped!

Bromby should have been down that side though. Instead he was wondering about somewhere. He did same thing against Wolves, and also Blackpool (im sure it was them:P)

Bromby is a flipping liability at the moment and the sooner Del Boy is back the better. Some of his defending last night reminded me of Alan Shite.

Nobody mentioning the liability that is Chris Morgan hey?

Awful game from him last night, and a stupid penalty, 2 in 3 now for him if I'm not mistaken. Just because he scored a good goal does not make up for a poor performance.

I think that's bloody harsh on Morgan. He had his hands full last night.

Not harsh, Morgan has been shit for a while now. Drop him and get Lucky in. Said it before game, saying it after.

Wouldnt say it is harsh at all.

He has been poor for a while and Lucky deserves a chance in the starting 11.

I don't think bromby was that bad....

There were 4 defenders in the middle who could have dropped across but waited for him to try and get back after he's just been going forward.

the penalty decision was abit harsh. hes not intentionally kicked out at the man, hes gone for the ball to clear it and missed the ball.

Considering all the shouts for handballs, some of the obvious in there box and the back pass, was harsh.

if only we could get our strongest back four of geary cahill morgs and armstrong playing together for more than a game without an injury or suspension
