If Villarreal can do it , then why not a club like ours?

I once tried to put a sandwich in my anus without destroying it. The sandwich that is.
Some things just aren't meant to be.
Should have used a large funnel knowsnowt, works for me ! 😀😀😀
Also, have you tried the medium cheese n mayo sub from Gregg's....recommended!

We're at a disadvantage in England because of football's popularity, the number of 'big' clubs and our large population. If European qualification took into account the population of each country, England would have about 12 teams in Europe and places like Denmark would have one.

As it stands, places like Portugual, Denmark and the Netherlands have (very roughly) about one qualifier for every million of their inhabitants - we have one qualifier for maybe every eight million inhabitants.

The only success our fans will ever see is promotion from this division or the one below.

Whenever we have a sniff of success our boards short sight 'vision' fucks us over - in 1993 after reaching an FA Cup semi final our board in its wisdom decided to sell our best player and replace him with a donkey. In 1998 looking like challenging for the autos we sell not one but both of our strikers!!! In 2007 when we had a real opportunity to push on and consign the Pigs to the dustbin of history we signed Ahmed Fathi and Mahmood Seck, even in the lower leagues we still continued to make the same errors - selling our top scorer again halfway through a season in 2013 and thus ending up losing to Yeovil in the play offs!

Unbelievable really.

But Jason Cundy says they're shit

Villareal are in the semi's because they deserve to be. They beat Bayern Munich, beat Juventus 3-0 away

He's a disgrace.... but generally speaking this is talksport and their whole plan is to get people "talking and messaging/phoning in".
Whether that is Jason Cundy doing the above lauding liverpool but also trashing a team.

Whether that is Simon Jordan trashing Wilder too the other week. Talksport would expect fans from Sheff United and Boro who would call in/message to disagree with him. And also one's that do agree. It's a controversial thing to call out a manager in such a way.

3 games into the next season I'm sure if Man United haven't blistering started well under the new boss they will be calling for him to be sacked.

Villareal, a place with just over 50,000 people, as Steve McManaman said, a population the size of Morecambe. It's pretty darn impressive when you consider how successful and competitive they've been in European competitions for many years.

Small regions can achieve big things. Croatia getting to a World Cup final - population less than 4m. Like it is pretty remarkable Forest Green Rovers are now in the third tier - coming from a town of just over 5,000 people. It can be done.

Yes, but absolutely everything about the club needs to change, our fans probably most of all

But change is not good of course.

I remember being at Stockport at the beginning of our fourth division season, it wasnt a good start and the fans were in troublesome mode.

The fans were going to get Keith Edwards in and they were going to create absolute bloody mayhem everywhere until we got him.

But of course we accept what we're given now, and the club can hide behind the fact that nobody is allowed to open their mouths anymore, backed up by it's very own siddarn police, wherever the fuck they've come from.

The rise of Villarreal is a great story, no doubt about it.

However, it did start when they were taken over by a Billionaire. Although he obviously hasn’t spent money on Chelsea and Man City levels, he gave them a massive kick start by investing in training facilities, their stadium, youth system, scouting networks etc.
