Seen a few pictures of the big flood a few years back and got me thinking...

If the pigsty had flooded like that mid-season, would you have been happy for the unclean to play at the Lane while the sty was being sorted? For me a clear no - I'd banish them to Barnsley.

And if the boot was on the other foot and BDTBL couldn't be used mid-season where would you be happy for the Blades to play home games? Obviously we could play at Don Va.... oh no, we couldn't could we.

You can tell it's quiet season...

Whilst it was good to see it like a swimming pool, one of my customers places was flooded just round the corner. The consequence now is the computer server and all the electrics are 4 feet off the ground.

Sorry, but some of us just don't need the hassle - it caused chaos to a load of businesses in the area.

Ok, so I'm a sad git :)

Do we have to talk about that awful lot in this section?

Fair play - I did consider putting in the other section and wouldn't object to it being moved but then I'm interested to know where people would want us to play if it happened to us.

Oakwell - too small and too shit
Chesterfield - too small
Doncatraz - too small
Toytown - too toytown (and not big enough)

Huddersfield? Derby? L**ds? Nottingham? Old Trafford? Wembley?

Depends how much they paid us for the privilege. There'd be a nice irony if our promotion was part funded by them.

Similarly, we'd have to play there if we couldn't use the Lane. There just aren't any feasible options.

Floods won't happen again as all the rivers were cleaned of the debri that obstructed the rivers flow that contributed to the flood. I know this as I worked as part of the team that cleared them for the council, costing quite a bit of ££

If it was a council job it'll surly need doing again in a few years, they never do ought properly, always expensivly though

being built on a riverbank can cause problems , like these 13 story flats built with extra safe sunken piles in China, they are now 4 storeys high
