In UK context the equivalent of Bolsonaro could be argued to be Tommy Robinson or Nigel Farage.

I must say whilst I think footballs can do some good in a social context, it also gets very divisive, see Colin Kapernick in the USA. They have the right to speak out, but is it prudent?

Where should the line be drawn, if at all?

If they wanted to support Farage that would be up to them, agree with him or not he’s a legitimate politician with political points.

Given the fallout of Chedgate, if our fucking tea lady offered Farage a chocolate digestive we'd be branded Swastika Ultras FC and be relegated to the Northern Counties Jingoism League (proudly sponsored by Combat 18).
 
Paul Joseph Watson supports Sheffield Wednesday by the way. For many that would be unacceptable, and if he returned to the UK and tried to attend a game I could see him being 'no-platformed'. Obviously he's not a former player, but a prominent figure.

If he was a United supporter would he be welcome at our games?

Waiting for the international break to finish so we can get back to moaning about the Blades

I’ll set out my position, again; I have little interest in party politics and even less in extremism, left or right. The complexity of the modern world is too great for me to understand and have an educated opinion on without spending a couple of years reading proper written discourses on the numerous issues that affect us. I can’t be arsed. I just want to work until I can afford to retire and to live and let live.

I have absolutely no interest in engaging with posters who drone on and on about some shit they’ve read on the Internet, whilst insulting people who disagree with them. That’s why I keep away from General Chat. I’ll say it again - I’m not interested in reading racist, bigoted shite from racist bigoted fuckwits, nor do I wish to debate anything with them. It’s tedious and pointless.

If others do, fine, there’s a place on the forum for it. It’s not General Blades Chat.

I particularly dislike it when people try to derail threads, like the one yesterday that was supposed to be about our international players that ends up being about Brexit (surprise fucking surprise), Europe (ditto) and descends into people calling each other cunts, or political threads being started on here with some dodgy ‘what if’ premise, like ‘if CW voted Brexit would you’ when it’s clearly got fuck all to do with Blades Chat.
