I would assume they'd make up the numbers in the first possible season, this being the upcoming season. They won't want League One to have 23 teams forever, so I would imagine it would go something like this..

Premier League Relegation 3 > 2
Championship Promotion 3 > 2
Championship Relegation 3 > 4
League One Promotion 3 > 3
League One Relegation 3 > 4
League Two Promotion 3 > 3
League Two Relegation 3 > 4

All the way down to non league, to even out the numbers again. Worth pointing out that not only Bury, but Bolton face similar.

They'd do whatever had minimal effect up the pyramid, so nothing will change for us, one fewer relegation spot from league one and League Two will have one more auto spot, and so on down the pyramid.

Not sure if I've had a bottle of Rioja and forgotten it, but none of the numbers in OP make any sense to me. How can the Championship promote two, relegate four, and only gain five?

I'd be very surprsied if Bury or Bolton were kicked out of the league. If it did happen, there's not a chance it will affect us.
