If Berge isn't sold, aren't we fucked? Presumably the fire sale is because we're desperate for money. So either someone else is sold or we go into the EPL with a transfer embargo?

I have mixed feelings about him . If we sell him and clear the debt that has to be the way to go but if he stays that it is a plus regarding the team but it could lead to us being bollocks for the next 18 months when it comes to buying anyone. Could that put off a buyer if they think they can not invest in the team? Also what about our manager? If we get promoted will he be expected to get results with a Championship team? Unable to bring players in will be tough on him and no doubt he will be blamed for poor results . I think for the clubs sake the debt has to be number one problem that needs addressing but having said that i dont want to see him go either. He is quality that would shine in the prem more so than he does in the Championship. Also it's becoming annoying not having any statement from the club even the manager seems to be left in the dark ,

If Berge isn't sold I'm gunna be a nervous wreck until (if) we are promoted. I want to know there's money in bank

So we're fucked if he goes.
So we're fucked if he doesn't go.

Does this mean we're fucked ? will we not get any EPL money because we're fucked.

Will the new owner (s) fuck us more.

Where will I find enough dry bedding ?

Don't think it's as simple as wanting or not wanting a player to be sold.

I think the significant factor is the price.
Since the World Cup Berge has played like a £10 million to £15 million midfielder.
If another club offers that amount, we may as well keep him.

However if any club offers £20 to £25 million and we can bring in replacements as good.
Then surely business is business and selling him for that price and bringing in more effective replacements would be a fantastic deal.

I do think Berge is more suited to the Premier League than the Championship, so he could still be an asset next season.
He is clearly talented and capable of being a £30 million player, probably explains why he can still attract PL interest.

I have read different figures, with some saying we owe 3 million and others upto 15 million. If it is simply the prince not wanting to fork out before a takeover and the responsibility passes to someone else, it kind of makes sense. But otherwise, given even the higher ends sums involved, we have a more than good prospect of promotion and a number of assets, that could sold in the summer, surely we could manage a loan to cover the deficit.

Get promotion (the most important thing this season) and the debts should look after themselves. I think with the board not selling Sander, apparently, they have realised this. Hope him and Illiman stay and shine in the Premiership.

I don't want to push our luck especially with the deadline still over 6 hours away, 🤞but it was made clear from the off that we could still sign players IF the EFL approved the deal. I wonder if we've done anything to convince them our issue is sorted and we can at least bring in a decent replacement for Khadra? That would be the icing on the cake.

Hi GrayBlade I thought you could only sign players if it was an Emergency when under embargo like both goalkeepers get injured or your squad is so small it’s close to not be able to field a team due to injury’s suspension etc.

Could the cup draw last night have effected their decision not to sell? Beat Wrexham, more tv money, gate receipts and fa cup progression then nice payout v spurs and maybe enough to pay off the EFL.

Nope. Only EFL approval required. No stipulation as to circumstances. EFL rules regarding this posted on other thread(s)

Hi mate. Like Nick says, I think it just needs EFL approval, so for me instance if the club has been able to convince the EFL that the issue was down to the takeover and it’s now resolved they could approve a deal….maybe 🤷‍♂️

Doubt we will clear more than £500k profit from both ties
