I've been following The Blades home and away for 38 years and have never got battered. Then again I'm not a gobby, coked up wanker like a (increasing) portion of our away support nowadays.

In theory it’s fairly simple…. If you don’t feel comfortable challenging someone for throwing coins, being racist, violent etc, take note of their seat number and Inform the club after.
If it is done enough times then the club has to take action. There are enough CCTV cameras at most grounds nowadays so be able to ID those responsible.
I haven’t been to an away game since the Hull semi and choose to sit in an area of the lane where the number of bellends is thankfully low.
Can’t imagine having to sit amongst a load of shit bags at an away game having had to fork out a fortune for the privilege.
I would find it really hard not to challenge them which would probably end in a feight.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of those who are or behave like, cunts, are not receptive to having it pointed out to them.

Part of it is mutual trust isn't it. I've been verbally attacked in a few away ends in recent seasons by fans of the team I support. So, I don't trust some of my own fans any more. I'm from an era where, if you were being picked on, singled out by home fans, then you could hope/expect/rely on other Blades to help you out. Likewise if you came across fellow Blades being picked on, singled out by home fans then you'd intervene to try & help them. There was that trust. Now, if I saw some young lads getting into trouble, I'd be more hesitant to help because of the general erosion of trust within our own fanbase.

I seem to remember when we played at Millwall a few seasons ago, there was a female steward who used her initiative and asked someone on the front row to give up their seat for a fan with mobility issues. To be fair I think there were less fans that day, but there were plenty of spare seats around Block 26 and and I hope any reasonable person would move if asked. It doesn't help someone with mobility issues when the stand itself is so steep. I noticed a few puffing and panting - once I'd recovered that was

I drank around London Bridge/Borough Market pre and post match and didn't see a hint of trouble. It was busy. There were a lot of rugby fans about. I have seen trouble outside the Bunch of Grapes on a previous visit to Millwall after the match. It was young lads who traded a few punches before it was snuffed out by the police and then the Grapes was closed and everyone chucked out. By the way anyone see the black policeman outside South Bermondsey station after the game yesterday? He was a mountain must have been 7 foot.

I was 10 rows up in Block 21 and sorry to admit I didnt notice any coin throwing personally . As for the woman , standing as close as you can to the away fans giving fuck off and wanker signals in the brightest coat you can find ,does signal wanting some attention.
Didnt actually see any agro after but there were a few mariahs heading down Borough market with sirens blaring after the game ,we heard it had kicked off. Last time I frequent the Grapes ,26 quid for 4 pints of shit beer in plastic glasses isnt good. Was chatting to some Millwall old boys in the Kings Head in the morning ,great blokes ,they were saying they viewed Utd as a working class club like Millwall and quite liked us ,and they hated 'those facking plastic cants Wednesday'.
Train back to Retford being delayed for 'an incident on the line' at Newark was a bugger ,a cop told us the person wasnt killed just glanced off a high speed train.
