We aren't going to be in the play-offs this season, but we aren't getting relegared either. Things aren't going to be perfect for some time to come, but I'm happier with this manager than any we've had in some years.

Speed already has two good wingers (Ward and Yeates) in his squad but never starts them together in the same game. In addition, he’s been backed with enough money to bring in three loan players and none of them have been wingers or forwards. He’s talking about extending the loan of De Laet when we are already paying the wages of 8 defenders (Calve, Lowton, Kozluk, Nosworthy, Morgan, Bartley, Jordan, Taylor). From these facts, I think we can conclude that Speed is actually reasonably happy to continue playing one up front, Creswell on the wing and three defensive central midfielders. That’s his preferred style of play.

Agree with your every word, especially the last paragraph and we all know who's to blame for that. Whether or not Speed was the right choice is irrelevant as we're stuck with him, but as you say he has an almost impossible job and give me a 4th from bottom finish now and I'd snatch your hand off.
