This is not a lifestyle choice or a fad, it's a lifelong addiction inflicted on me by my father and his father before him.
The first game I remember was in league 2. We lost to Bournemouth. I also remember Richard Cadette being announced to the crowd. Before then I went a few times with my dad but all I can remember is images. Like a man peeing down his leg and being lifted up at the front of the Kop.
Today marks the end of an era. A sad day in many ways but one which has probably been coming for a while.
Tomorrow marks the start of a new era. Will it all go horribly wrong? Quite possibly, but I'll be there regardless.
Supporting the club through thick and thin. A new season in the Championship. Who knows what might happen next season, but there will be no fucking VAR though.
Managers come and managers go. Owners come and owners go. There will always be the club.
UTB
onwards and upwards.
