I reckon the -2 points has done us a favour

Without the deduction, we would have been travelling to Plymouth on the 12th of April to clinch promotion, but now we'll have to wait until Cardiff at home on the following Friday.
That prince of ours knows what he's doing you know.

To be fair away to Cardiff for promotion has been done in the past although I do prefer a “home promotion”

Speak for yourself. Remember what happend to us last time premier league payments dried up...

Did we earn the respect of the rest of the league for not being parachute wankers?

Hopefully we’re nowhere near promotion and we finish 7th.

Pig fan is back.... where have you been?
You always seem to disappear sulking after a few good Blades wins......must be feeling pretty depressed after our Sunderland win.

Regards United we simply have to be promoted...otherwise we are forced to downsize and will lose some of our best players next season.
Only a Wednesday fan would want that.

What’s the point in getting promoted spend £20m get battered every week and come back down?

Simple.....we keep all our best players and can afford to only sell them if and when we receive a stupidly high bid.
Then we re-invest that money making the team even better, similar to what Brighton have been doing.

We spent about £60 million last season and brought in £30 million on the N'Dieye and Berge sales, so the net spend was around £30 million not £20 million. The 2 previous years in the PL our net spend was over 50 million each season.

You only need to compare us with clubs like Sheff Wed.
Being in the top flight and then receiving parachute money totally transforms a club. Their transfer record is about 10 million where as we've exceeded that amount loads of times. Financially we're at a totally different level but eventually if we stay in the Championship our finances will be similar to theirs
and we'll struggle to attract any decent players.

It's been mentioned that maybe in order to establish ourselves in the top flight we need an early spell of being a yo yo club.
It's the lesser of 2 evils, in order to progress/ grow as a club we have no choice to be get promoted this season.

What’s the point of purposely not going up, for fear of something that might happen? What’s the point on losing out on £100m+ pounds? What’s the point of being a football fan if you can’t just enjoy the good times?

There's a long long way to go. Some people are getting waaaaaaay ahead of their selves.

If the sale of the club doesn't go through before January, I can see us selling players in January not buying them.

We're a third of the way through the season, and we've started brilliantly, let's see what the next month brings......
