Thank you, Revolution, I completely forgot he was signed before Warnock arrived. The turnaround under him was incredible, with some superb performances. I vaguely remember beating a very decent Fulham side 2-0 over Christmas. As you mention, once we'd secured safety the team stopped playing, but nothing should detract from the fine job he did.

Agree entirely regarding Murphy, he became a superb cog in defence, as did Page and Morgan, thereafter.

That Fulham game was brilliant,we absolutely bullied them all game,last home game of the century,we were in almost exactly the same position as we are now.,the squad was huge and chock full of quality Champ players,the present squad can't hold a candle to it
They had Horsfield,Pesch,Uhlenbeek and Karl Heinz Riedle in their squad,and home attendences were down to 10,000
