I think we lost 6 from 8 v the relegated teams when we got promoted from Div 3 under Bassett ..... dunno how this is relevant this season but the thought just came in my head reading this

QPR and Bristol City at home are the 2 games that we should have seen out and had another 4 points on the board.

If Wilder hadn’t fucked up at home against Leeds with his stupid substitutions and had continued to pressure Messy then we would have won and I’d be a lot more confident and happy. I might even be as delusional as Pollington.
And those players he brought off might have picked up and injury and not contributed to the following excellent run.

He took players off for a reason because as much as it felt important to us to get something off from Leeds, he kept his eyes on the bigger picture and you can’t really fault him for that based on what has happened since.

You possibly have a point, but equally they might not have been injured. The removal of Rak Sayaki can’t have been done to save him from injury surely? That and the weird insertion of TD on that flank freed up Leeds flying winger and wing back. At least RS was posing a threat which occupied that side, but no Wilder has to play with his new toy, the pop gun that is ineffectual Tom Cannon.

I do agree that he has to consider Moore as the first striker sub. It doesn’t always have to be Cannon to help justify your transfer moves.
