A sequence of these kind of performances and I’d agree they need to pick themselves up and quickly. I hope he doesn’t resign if he’s sacked and the board has a plan in mind I’d disagree but so be it if he resigns and there’s no succession plan in place then it would only add to the general malaise.

That's true. If he walks he's be labelled a coward and Wilder isn't that. Abdullah says he won't sack him (although that was before the abject shit performance today) so he has to find a way out of this or at the very minimum get some pride back in that team. He keeps saying that it isn't the formation that's at fault yet we lose every week and the performances are awful. So what does he have to lose by doing something different? Nothing in my view, it can't get any worse so when he's saying the players need to be brave maybe he should set that example himself.

Well he's go the HRH vote of confidence so I don't think he's going anywhere. In my opinion I dont think he can afford to sack him seems he's about as poor as the last owner which probably means he cannot back another manager with money.

I like Wilder, but just like any other job if you not doing it right you get the sack. He should resign now and be remembered for the good times and not for relegation from the premier. If we amazingly stay up, the supporters would have another manager to praise.

We have 2 problems

1) do we allow CW time?
After all he has dragged us from L1 to the PL single handed and for that has credit in the bank, and he’s a Blades.
however football is a results business, who once said “your only 3 games from the sack”? We’ve gone from the odd goal and looking ok, to a defeated imitation of just 12 months ago.

2) who can we bring in? It’s no good knee jerking and then been left with a vacancy and a plethora of mediocrity to fill it

Let him walk and get who? I know were in dire straights at the minute but id rather loose every game this season than get rid of him and get someone like Gary Monk in for his replacement when lets be right thats about thats as good as is available. Wilder surely knows theres a problem around the camp and im hopeful he can get sort it before its too late / if not too late. Just dont want a shite manager to take over, take us down and make us a bog standard championship team. Cant get rid of him, surely

It’s sad to watch at the moment but it’s certainly not something that needs to be totally destroyed. Norwich are a good example. Stuck to their guns , didn’t panic and look like they will walk it back. I am struggling with Wilder at the moment and the baffling tactics and team selection but I’m also old enough to know we might want to lick our wounds and come again rather than rip it and start again. I’d say it was a second bad spell. The latter half of the first year back in the championship was really poor. I seem to remember seem disgruntlement towards some stubbornness he had with team selection then too. An indication of things to come perhaps.

The main problem though, is this isn’t just a ‘bad spell’ it’s a record-breaking disaster. It’s catastrophic form and performances putting us on course to be the worst top-flight side ever. Never-mind that, at the moment, it’s one of the worse starts/runs of any league side. Ever. Any other manager in this position would have been shown the door by now. I’m not quite there yet, but he needs to do something drastic and sharpish.

Wilder's biggest mistake has been signing Ramsdale. After our home game against Bournemouth last season, it was fully confirmed to me that I did not rate the lad.

The keeper position needed to be right or it would have a negative knock on effect and imo this is what we are seeing. It was the starting point.

The Lunny situation n'all. Should have fucked him off in the summer and got a decent CM.

Robbo was signed in case anything happened to JOC. Something happened to JOC and now Robbo isn't good enough. Another clanger.

All that said, I don't know who would do a better job with the players we have.
