Can't tackle , can't run, can't see his opponent walking past him. I have been to 90% of our games over the last few years and this guy drives me nuts. I can cope with a poor game here and there but the last time Baxter had a decent half even was Doncaster away last year. Slows down play , takes forever to make a pass and is just a passenger. Plenty of others get pelters but this guy seems untouchable. I like Adkins but when a player lets you down like Baxter did again at Fulham and walks straight back into the side tonight it sends a poor message. We were crying out for energy that Reed or Scougall would have brought to the mix. Get rid now please.

I don't think he has the mental attributes to perform on a weekly basis. Far too much self doubt, lack of fitness and lack of desire at times.

He should have taken them both. Sharp's never been a penalty taker, and every one he's taken for us has been unconvincing. Sentiment and being our main goalscorer aren't good enough reasons to give him this responsibility.

Unfortunately, most of the players that turned out tonight looked like they couldn't give a sh!t - and whilst I believe Billy Sharp could give a sh!t he was rubbish - he is actually worse now than he was on his first two stints with the club - over paid, over hyped, and over the hill !

Paul McGrath was an absolute pleasure to watch. The best natural defender I have ever seen pull on the red and white stripes. Just a shame we couldn’t get more games out of him. Same goes for the late great Gary Speed and to some extent Stuart McCall. Ugo Ehiogu was another good one at the end of his career as was Tom Cowan. We have had some shite journey men but we have at times, signed some great veteran players. I hope Dean Hammond becomes another and sharpish.

I think if he comes out and says, I'm sorry I failed a drug test, I wasn't spiked, I was just partying. The red card at Fulham was me been silly and I wont let it happen again. Then last night was a chance for him to repay the countless chances this club has given him and he produces the worst 45 minutes of football iv ever seen from a player at the lane. It was worst than his namesake lee Baxter at Burnley.
