The association and many references to the Blades of Harry and Kyle during this World Cup campaign. In the papers and through the net and the TV channels.
More pics tonight on TV showing Harry in a Blades shirt.
Enjoy it whilst we can.

I’d be enjoying it more if they still played for us :(

Yep this is why we are were we are because we sell sell sell , we will never change don't all my life I have supported them , were the best selling club in the land , more bargains at the lane than home bargains !!
makes u so proud dun it !

In fact while I am on one , why the foook do we put up with it , I am sick to death of us selling our best players , but like a moth to the flame I will be there against Swansea, we better foooking win or my shoes will be off !!!!

Every club (apart from Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG and Man City) sells its best players when they receive an offer that’s economically benefit like to that club Or if the player wishes to leave.

If Man United, Liverpool and Spurs can’t keep their best players that Sheff Utd have no chance.
It will always be that way, there’s a pecking order regards finances at clubs.

If Maguire and Walker stayed at the Lane they would never have played for England and we would be out of the World cup.

Also we’d more than likely be in league 2 because we’d have no money to strengthen the team with Maguire and Walker on 5 times more than the other players, there would be player unrest, the squad would be totally unbalanced and we’d be a laughing stock.

Even before the world cup, its amazing how many times we get mentioned in games that have no relevance to us. It could be Bolton v Ipsiwch and they would say "Bolton playing in white, of course Sheffield United play in red AND white"

Or Sheffield Wednesday v Barnsley, where the commentator would say, and Sheffield Wednesday, of course the smaller of the two Barnsley teams, with Sheffield United occupying an entire City to themselves...

I'm always on about this in our house. We always getting mentioned, I'm glad its not just me who's noticed it.

Real Madrid selling their best player to Juve aren't they?

Kyle walker didn’t want to leave, nor did we have to sell him.

Still selling him.

(and yeah i agree, its mental, but its not about football its commercial)

Agreed, they are still selling him, but I’d argue it’s more on their terms and they could keep him if they really wanted to.

I think Real are the only club in the world I can think of in the last 20+ years that can keep hold of their players.

In fairness I think the way we do business now is better.

The club have values on players and whether you or I agree on that reported price is irrelevant. What matters is that the offer has to meet the valuation which will be agreed by the commercial guys at the club.

Much in the same way that wilder gives his list of targets to sanction a purchase, he will have his say on the sales too.

DCL is a prime example, perhaps Brooks too.

We could try the S6 method, and have no players that any other club wants to buy...
