I had a nasty hit on the head during 0-3 defeat to Southend early in the 2016/17 season. Didn’t want to google anything so thought I’d come on S24su to get a brief summary of what’s happened since my bump on the head. Did we get rid of Wilder straight after the Southend game? Poor start. Knew he wasn’t the one

Wasn’t straight after, he kept his job for another few weeks, but a drubbing away at Gillingham was too much and he was sacked after that. Luckily enough, Warnock was waiting in the wings......

You don't have much do you. You go into a coma just before the best period of football in our history and then wake up bang in the middle of one of the worse Pandemics in history.
 
Never mind the football it's a zombie apocalypse outside. Now I'm assuming you logged on straight away at your bedside, your room door is locked otherwise they'd have already got you...if you've seen the start of 28 Days Later it'll save me a whole lot of explaining
 
O’ Connell never played another game for us after causing one of the Southend goals. He’s now captain of Frickley I think.

We reappointed Hammond as player manager. To be fair he gives us a solid 5/10 most weeks on the pitch although a fair few of the 5000 season ticket holders have never taken to him.

Kop has been closed for 2 years due to safety reasons but we are hoping to get it back open soon.

There has been paper talk of us bringing in Newport County captain Josh Labadie to bolster the midfield. Most of us think he would be a good signing but there is a question mark on whether we can afford the 100,000 fee
 
Well he was sacked we re appointed Micky Adams as his replacement he lasted a year was sacked after we were relegated to league 2 where we remain to this day our last game before the lockdown was a surprise win at home to Eastleigh billy sharp as just been appointed manager with peter ndlovu as assistant manager

I really don`t know how to break it to you but they have won the premiership league title and then went on to win the European cup , if i was you i would go back into your coma , there just too good , best team , best fans, best ground , god i wish we were as good as them there so massive !
 



Glad to hear it. About time you got that lazy arse out of that bed and stopped bleeding the nhs dry. Selfish bastard, should have woke up a month ago and free up a bed. Next time wear a helmet to the match, better still stop being a helmet !

Maybe I need to check my internet security more thoroughly in future for any such similar circumstances
 
We signed a player from Oxford called John Lundstram. First everyone said “Who!?”, then they said he’s not ready for the first team, then they said he was shit, then they said he’s the worst player ever to wear a Sheffield United shirt, then he chopped Jack Grealish in half, then he didn’t play for half a season, then he had a good preseason, then he was a world beater, then he had 2 bad games and now he’s gone back to being shit again.

I was lucky with my coma.

I’ve just woken up at the end of next season.
we have won the league and beaten Barca 8-0 in the champions league final.

Garth crookes still thinks we are a pub team and First division Wednesday are coming for us apparently.

McCabe has just received planning permission to build a sewage works behind the kop.

We are all allowed out again but only in full space suits. Fortunately kop seating has prepared us well for the discomfort levels.
 
We're doing OK 17th in the national league, management team of Gary megson and Gareth ainsworth, mccabe sold the club to a Nigerian Prince for many monies, we now play at concorde Park, council owns the freehold, Connor Sammon actually managed a shot on target, could be a lot worse, glad you're better

You know that is a great photograph, it doesn't tell you much but it also tells you everything. Perfect balance, head up & you can see he is thinking 3 or 4 passes ahead, doesn't need to look at the ball he knows exactly where it is (under his spell as commentators like to say). It makes me sad for him that he is not still our midfield general, never mind the loss I am sure we all feel ourselves. Masterful.
 



It’s finished, done. It was pretty good though. We’re top ten in the country, pigs finished last or something, who cares really? Apparently we might have another go one day but it’s unlikely. It’s a bit like when The Bridge finished, for a while you think they’ll never be anything as good but then something like Line of Duty pops up and you think ‘yeah, not so bad’
I believe it’s been replaced by Tiger King.
