the season comes to an end , we have dipped slightly!!!! to finish 3rd , the filthy swine also finish top 6

what would you prefer...

play the filth over 2 legs in the space of 5 days or play them in the final ??

both would obviously be very sweet if/when victory was achieved but which could you nerves handle !!..

think i would go with the semi final victory as would guarantee a play off final with CW at the helm and a great chance of promotion , maybe against Wolves !? if the football gods are feeling poetic ! and not having to see all those chuppa chup wankers around wembley

the build up and everything (if we both were in the final )would be unbearable for that 3 weeks and if that lot actually beat us at Wembley for a place in the premiership it would be hideous

although saying that seeing Leon slide the 4th in to make it 4-1 on a sunny BH weekend at Wembley with 30k plus fellow blades and see 700,000 pigs fans crying , would be beautiful !

I'm not saying we will stay near the top and that I expect us to- this is very much hypothetical , whatever happens this season we have a team/manager /club to be proud of

The risk of losing to Wendy at Wembley is not a risk worth taking even though I don't think we would.

Thrash them in the semis, they don't even get a day out.

All hypothetical of course, touch wood, would rather get the autos, touch an entire forest etc

I couldn't watch the match a few weeks ago, playing em over two legs would be horrendous, playing at Wembley in the biggest game in football? I'd rather finish 7th.

Semis every time.

Playing them at Wembley would spoil the day - win or lose - the atmosphere would be too toxic.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere for the Hull game as although losing was disappointing - we were still proud of getting there and playing well. It would be the same this year win or lose - as it’s more than we expected - unless it was against them. Then losing would be a catastrophe.

Enough Magic for Top 2 Please!

If that would happen I'd not be able to watch as it would have all the makings of a typical pig promotion.

I can see it now. After doing a season double over them and with confidence high the team bus takes a wrong turn coming back from Swansea in the FA cup semis and goes within a 10 mile radius of Rhyl. As a precaution half the team gets sent to jail and slip to 3rd on the last day, the pigs just get 6th on goal difference and beat us in the final thus ensuring that their sense of arrogance and warped view is safe for another season.

We beat them 4-0 in both legs and lose to Burton on penalties in the final.

If a play off final v Wednesday was to become a reality I hope our fans find their bottle. It certainly wouldn't be a problem for our team. I get the impression a lot of our fans would be beaten before the game started on no basis whatsoever. That scared, stupid defeatist mentality would be our main obstacle.

Where’s the fucking dislike button?

Finish as Champion's with a few games to spare. Feet up to watch the pigs lose in the play off final.

Light up the cigars and spray that champagne.

I would be a very very very happy man that day.

Semi-final, every.single.time. We might beat them in a final, we might lose to them in a final. Wembley 93' was hard enough in a heavily pig infested school. I was dreading the first day back after that semi-final.

Semi final.
Beat them home & away in the league.
Beat them home & away in the play-offs.

Enjoyed Hull at Wembley (even though some thieving twat nicked my phone while I was pissed & having a piss at the time - and that was in the Blades end!!) but couldn’t stand playing pigs there. Would rather shove wasps up my own arse.

Bad history with play offs so happy to finish second (as long as weeds or wendy arent first, which of course they wont be)

Oh come off it, we are born this. Bring on the Wembley final I say and rip the cunts a new arsehole.

OK I'll play along.

Hypothetically, beating them, soundly, in football's richest game, would probably be the greatest day in the lives of 30,000+ Blades. Imagine watching Billy lift the tropy as 876,433 million pigs (who somehow fit in 35,000 or so seats) flood towards the exits. Imagine their faces outside Wembly, sobbing into their Sanderson and Chupa Chups shirts, imagine overtaking miserable carloads of them on the way back up the M1, the party to end all parties occupying every square foot of space between the Lane and London Road going on long into the night when we all got back. The Star the following day, with 35 pages of their "amazing, passionate fans" all over London, with a small column on about page 26 mentioning the match etc etc...it would be truly wonderful.

However, the reverse would be unthinkable.

If victory could be guaranteed then bring it on. Personally however, I'd rather we finish either where we are now, or one place higher. Enjoy our own celebrationsand watch them finish in mid-table obscurity, before being crippled by the EFL when all the dolphin-killer's underhand nefarious dealings come to light.

Balls to Wembley and the playoffs. Lord CW would see 3rd as a failure anyway.

Would prefer 2-legged PO semi final if I had to choose just between those two.

In a single game, anything can happen. In multiple games, the team with more quality and desire, togetherness and workrate is more often than not going to come out on top. That's us, so i pick the semis.

Would still prefer automatic over either option any day though. Rather than sink to their level and beat them, let's just rise above them completely.

Why would we be coming back from an FA Cup semi in Swansea?

If we finish 3rd and they finish 6th we’d meet in the semis.

Otherwise good story ;)
