Hulse for x-rays

Rob Hulse will have x-rays in Sheffield over the weekend to determine the full extent of the injury he sustained during the match at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The striker was stretchered off midway through the first half after an accidental clash with Chelsea 'keeper Petr Cech.

Neil Warnock said after the 3-0 defeat "It looks like a double fracture, we will know more over the next couple of days, though I suspect that Rob will be out for the rest of the season, and maybe some of the next."

Just our luck looks he is out for the season. :(

Lets hope Shelton can start paying us back with goals. :D
 

I don't imagine Shelton will feature as much as people are expecting this season, he wasn't fit when we saw him in the reserves.

Though perhaps todays inclusion on the bench shows he's been doing well behind doors.

We couldn't really see it from our seat at the opposite side of the ground, just looked like any other general collision in the box, does sound like a shocker though :(

Well to be fair, if wasnt any chelsea players fault. It was a complete accident with cech.
 
I watched the game and it was an accident.

Also seeing the replay a few times and both were right to challenge for the ball. Hulse fell over cech and bent his ankle in the process end of.

It wasn't a bad challenge for cech, so i dont see the problem.

These things happen in football. And now it is up to our other strikers to show they are worth a place in the side.

Cech seemed very concerned to me about Hulse's well being too....
 
Accident, no blame attached, end of. However, it does really, really make me very uneasy about the rest of the season. This could be catastrophic, given the lack of goals from elsewhere in the squad!
 
lets hope the other signings that warnocks chucked cash at can do stuff or webber can pull his socks up and do the bizz.
 
I didn't quite clearly see it was Cech, but he's the Chelsea player I have most respect for so I guess that evens it out.
 
Its a massive loss for us with Hulse been injured.
 
we cant play the crappy 4-5-1 tactic without hulse now.

Wha difference would it make if it wasnt cech it was an accident ::confused:

Gutted about hulse been one of our top players this season!
 
gonna be abig loss for us and now i think we are doomed.

i wish rob husle a very speedy recovery

For God's sake it was a genuine accident! Everything that goes wrong with us against Chelsea/Man U/Arsenal is always "their cheating fault" - "they cheated", "they dived", "they bit his nose of" - it was a genuine accident and was quite obvious.

Can you not leave the "cheating" factor for one moment? We're all quite aware that they cheat most games - but can you please stop drawing attention to it everyday?

good points, but id have CKR in the side everytime, he is the only player in our side with a good touch and has confidence in him self. id take s.quinn out, he is in very bad form at the moment, maybe been played too much.

other than that i agree UTB
 
Id agree with that, Squinny isnt looking anything like the player he did a month ago. As for Bromby at fullback, it would make be very :mad: Id go with something like this:

GK-Kenny

LB - Geary - hasnt been the same at rb
CB - Jags
CB - Morgan/Lucketti
RB - Kozluk - we played our best with kozluk and geary at fullback

ML - Tonge
MC - Fahti
MC - Monty
MR - Keef

FC - CKR
FC - Stead
 
I think before we all panic about the rest of the season we should all be thanking Robbie Hulse for his massive contribution to this season.

He's been much better than anyone expected and a few posters wrote him off as soon as he was mentioned.

Get well soon Robbie and thanks for this season.
 
In other words he should be back for next season then.

Although true it could of been worse.
 
Just hope he doesn't lose his bottle for going in on 50-50s. It happens.

6months is gonna be end of September.

I think we have a big worry for the end of this season.. I haven't much faith in what we have behind the scenes apart from Hulsey... they looked poor on Saturday. Nade just didn't seem interested and CKR looked so pissed off - he needs to play with support.

I think what they mean is that they were expecting it to be far worse and so they are pleased its not as bad as first thought.

Injuries like this can put players out for a couple of years.
