Never really thought Howard fitted in. Don't care what the reasons are but its good that he contacted the paper to put things straight.

Wish him well and it was just one of those things that didn't work out. Like so many midfielders we have had in recent times.

i agree with the comments that were reoprted in the star!!... i have said myself we don't play to certain players strengths i.e. Billy Sharp & Dingle Howard. We do play the long ball but we're effective with it.

Brian Howard should either adapt to our style of play or move to Reading... Oh yeah, now i remember. HE HAS!

I'm glad he has come out and coshed the paper that obvisouly wrote shite about what he said and he probably seems geniuely frustrated at them.

We can't play to everyone strengths and Howard couldn't find a comfortable role all the best to him in the future.

Brian Howard is a top, top bloke. After the play off final we met him in the Premier Inn bar at the end of Wembley way. He was with his family, but came over to us and bought us all a pint and apologised for not getting us promoted. We spoke to him for well over an hour and he was genuinely absolutely gutted about his and the teams performance.

He showed me that day that players do care as much, if not more, than the fans. I for one wish him all the best and hope he realises his dream of playing in the premiership sooner rather than later.
