3 points is always priority number 1, but if there are ever more goals for us in a game we have to make the effort to really go for them. For example if we're 2-0 up tomorrow with 20 minutes to go, don't stop. Go for 3, then 4.

We could really do with maintaining a better goal difference than Leeds. Finishing level on points might be the best we can hope for.

A lot of the advice on here as to what to do on the pitch rests on what physically the players are capable of at the moment.

We took the game to Millwall for an hour and there seams to be the feeling we sat back because we were protecting a one nil.

I have the unfortunate feeling that the players were knackered after an hour and were incapable of doing anything else.

As for standing on the Kop, it won’t happen apart from at the back for the reasons mentioned previously, it is too shallow, no one under 6ft from row J backwards would see owt, people would start getting into arguments about not being able to see the game and stewards would start ejecting people left right and centre.

That is what costs us most in my opinion. Warnock used to get us 2-0 up and then more often than not it was game over. Teams always seem to be "in it" against us lately

I don't buy into this theory that our players are knackered . Why should they be ? They've only played the same number of games as everyone else in the division ( less in some cases )

Ok , we've got a few the wrong side of 30 but , by and large throughout the season , they've shown as much energy and application as some of the younger ones .

What I do know is that we've not looked the same side since we came back from the warm weather training session and whether this had the wrong effect psychologically on both players and management is a matter for debate .

What most reasonable observers would not dispute , is that our cause has not been helped by unnecessary and irrational changes to the system and substitutions designed to help us preserve a flimsy lead which have had entirely the opposite effect .

Wilder gets a lot more right than he gets wrong, team selection at WBA and fans up in arms before the game being a prime example, but that doesn't make him a genius any more than employing tactics that confuse internet message board users would make him an idiot.

I am 100% convinced that Wilder is much better placed to make such decisions than anybody on here that thinks they know better, and thereby consider him to be making "unnecessary and irrational changes"

I agree entirely that Wilder gets more right than he gets wrong but that doesn't make him infallible and I have never , and will never , subscribe to the mantra that he can do no wrong . He is still at a relatively early stage of his managerial career and like others before him including the great Sir Alex , has some way to go before he becomes the finished article . Choice of substitutions and changes to formations are still , in my view and that of many others , areas in which there is room for improvement .

If I remember correctly we were well on top after the Bash/Madine substitution and Madine scored the goal so I'm not sure what your point is there.

Whilst there is always room for improvement surely you are implying here that you and many others know better than Wilder?

My assertion was not made with the benefit of hindsight . I made similar comments after a game very early in the season and have commented on this aspect of his management being one of his weaknesses on numerous occasions .

Completely agree.

Plenty of Leeds fans are talking about their game against Wigan being an opportunity to close or eliminate the goal difference advantage that we have. Clearly, in their minds, they aren't being daft enough to rule out the possibility of losing a game along the way, and in that eventuality they see the imperative of clearing our goal difference advantage so that we would need 4 points more in order to overhaul them.
