i’ve discovered how we can beat defensive teams when playing at home. Watched MOTD last night. Arsenal and Chelsea both showed how, with lovely one touch passes and flicks / back heels. It won’t always come off but I reckon that’s what we should aim for.

Both teams played brilliantly and I reckon we have enough quality to emulate them.

You sir are a master tactician and your ability to read the game is unparalleled in the football world. You should be managing Barca ;)

Just need a few top class internationals then don't we. Fuckin easeh.

I can already hear the groans when someone attempts to backheel the ball in the box instead of shooting or passing forwards.

On a slightly related note. After the derby Wilder said that we needed to move the ball from left to right faster, and we'd open them up. It came to mind in the first half against Norwich, because that's exactly what we were doing. Evans played a big part in that.

Sorry, don't follow, to technical for me.

Piss-taking aside, we just need to run at teams more. Be direct, get past players and force them to make a decision to either let us skip past or bring us down for a freekick. I think that Leonard, Fleck, Brookes & Wilson would all be good for this. We now also have a couple of players more happy to shoot from range, I can't wait to see us taking a few more snap-shots to catch keepers out

One thing that can break even the most organised of defences is a perfectly timed run. Maybe that's something we can work on. Then we can just chip it over their defence and head it into the net.

We have the players to pick the passes. Just need someone to run into the box and head it into the net.

Shooting more from distance is a good ploy, Lenny, Evans, Holmes will do this more for sure.

Both Palace and Brighton were shocking in defence and both teams have nowhere near the quality of Arsenal or Chelsea.

This might work. Most goals are scored from within the penalty area. We could gerritintheer as often as humanly possible from seventy or eighty yards. Maybe kick it long; kick it hard; kick it high? Surely if we purritintbox often enough summatllappensumtime?

Run at players be cute, be prepared to go down. I know, 'we don't do that', well I've yet to see another team in this league that doesn't and here's the thing, should we get into the Premier League,
the Grealish's of this world are the norm not the exception. Just one of these things may save us being relegated and £100,000,000 (a season) is a pretty big price to be the morale guardians of football.

The best way to beat defensive teams is to score first..... Simples
