Yes I agree we are better than them, merely pointing out the irony that we got a bit of luck against Newcastle whilst they conceded a 90th minute equaliser at the same point of the season.

Also let’s not forget Brighton, where we were holding on very well with 10 men and 1-0 up with 3 minutes of normal time to go. Ball goes into our box and Bash gets up well - only for the ball to bounce off his head at the ONLY fucking angle that gives Wellbeck a chance to control it and smash it into the back of the net. A quality finish but the ball could have ended up anywhere and gone clear ! ........ Another 2 points gone.

It's not positive or negative just factual that our win against Newcastle was fortuitous. Fraser stupidly got himself sent off and Fernandez gave away a penalty, which the referee did not initially spot. Then a defensive lapse at the end almost resulted in us conceding a goal but did not.

When Derby played Newcastle in the same point of the season they conceded a 90th minute equalizer and collapsed from there. We fortunately did not, and have not and remain fighting.

About as fortuitous as Villa's win against us then.

I agree Villa were lucky to win, so much so I already commented on it.

West Brom we weren't unlucky, we didn't take our chances that's our fault. They had a shot on goal and scored, no luck there.

Saying that Newcastle pressed the self destruct button is not taking anything away from us .

We had a defensive lapse. It was lucky for us and unlucky for them that it did not lead to a goal against us.

Luck is there sometimes in elements, and yes Newcastle were not good enough. They lost the game, we won it. We were fortunate that Fraser was an idiot and got himself sent off and Fernandez did a stupid handball giving us a penalty.

Shame you don't know how to read as I have merely stated that:

1. Sam Allardyce has a good track record
2. Wilshere would add something to our midfield options
3. We should have signed Welbeck rather than Brewster
