With a bit of luck, smart training and careful management there's no reason why he can't emulate Ryan Giggs, Kevin Phillips, Francesco Totti and Lothar Matthaus and play for another 5 years at least.

While that fine and wily old brain keeps ticking over he will remain a potent striker at a decent level.

2 more seasons minimum, hopefully in the PL.
I am convenced he would get goals up there too.
Yes he will up against better defenders but logic dictates that we would bring in players who will improve the service to him.
He's a master of movement in the box.

My brother has lived in Southampton for many years. His son has grown up supporting them and both have season tickets. I distinctly remember saying to them when they signed Billy that he wouldn’t be up to their level because of his lack of pace.

I was totally wrong. I hadn’t appreciated the extent to which his game is based on superior movement, quick thinking and anticipation. In fact, “pace” plays virtually no part at all. A striker whose game is based on pace faces a huge, virtually insurmountable, problem when he hits his early thirties. To a striker like Bill whose speed of thought in the box gives him a head start over the vast majority of defenders he comes up against, hitting your thirties presents no significant problem at all.

As we’ve seen for the past three years.

His pace is as it always has been, his mind is sharper though, along with his anticipation.

Fat jokes apart, I think physique wise he looks leaner than he ever did, at least 3 more seasons in him. I do think as time goes on he'll get subbed earlier to ensure he's available for more matches over the season

I stood next to him somewhere in The summer and he’s not fat he’s just hench and we’ll built definitley more built than I thought

Big man turns 33 today , how long will he carry on for?

Can see him playing till at least 36/37 he’s having probably his best year ever and looks fitter and stronger than ever.
Atleast another 90mins.

Anyone see the West Ham player trying to score from a free kick last night. Identical position to Billy’s goal on Sat, but he missed. Billy will be great in the Prem.

He took his shirt off after the Ipswich away game to give it to someone in the crowd.

Believe me, if Billy's fat, we're all in trouble. The guy is absolutely stacked.

I remember David Ginola getting the same "fat" treatment from fans
Until he took his shirt off

He got worldwide coverage, hardly anybody would have seen Billy take his shirt off so the catcalls will continue
