How long do we give Wilder?

Please this thread has got to be a joke. The only reason we’re in this mess is because they got rid of the bloke. They’ve sold his midfield tackler and his hold up striker and told him to get back on with it. If he stays Mcburnie does the Moore role, and he’d of signed someone to properly replace Souza.
Hard to argue with this tbh

Great to get back to back wins and hopefully we’re starting to now move in the right direction.

The performances under Wilder haven’t been convincing so far, we don’t look solid at the back and we’re not creating enough. I can’t only see us continuing to be very average and boring to watch this season.

Magnificent performance in extremely difficult circumstances. A half fit squad full of waifs and strays and had got them running through a brick wall for him.God knows how we put a competitive team out Friday.

As for OP...collect the steam off my iss for your begging bucket on the way out.

Oh, and do mind that gap 😉

50% ratio and a points per game that would probably have us in the play offs if he'd started the season. All with a sabotaged squad with rock bottom confidence. He's doing oreyt.
It would have us on 69 points over a season so not quite. Minus the five games under Selles and 1.5 points per game will see us mid-table. Still fantastic compared to where we were after Ipswich.

More convincing than under selles. We look more solid at the back since hes come in no doubt.

This season now is very much about results, no matter how they come. Yes we are not creating much I agree but its better to win ugly or nkt cresting much than lose.

69 points is sometimes enough for the play offs, but I did mean if he'd been there from the start of the season, there's no chance it gets us anywhere near now.

Without the circumstances I mentioned though, I have no doubt we'd have a much better points per game than 1.5.

My concern is that matches are always close and can easily be lost, both Saturday and tonight could’ve been lost.

I’m just hoping we can start seeing some improvement in performances, I feel we have the players capable of more than we are seeing right now. Results will take care of themselves if we can put in more dominant performances instead of Wilder’s just doing enough style.

Wilder's proven two things: Selles did more damage in one transfer window than any manager has before, and that even then you can get far more out of them than that.

The weaknesses in that side are obvious, but there's game to be won and Wilder can at least get you some results. There were question marks over him when we were wanting to push on and take the title and play more attractive football. Those aren't relevant right now.

Yeah I get that worry and I agree to some degree and its no good for health of us blades fans watching, but ill take it in our current situation.

I also dont think we will see a massive improvement regarding attacking for a while, we was similar last season, albeit more clinical, we should see an improvement into new year once wilder puts his stamp on the squad in January, but dont think it be massive amounts.

I do believe we would have seen a difference this season if we hadnt have sacked him for Spanish supply PE teacher.

They won't if tonight's evidence is anything to go by. The o/p couldn't wait until the end of the game to get his dig in. As soon as we went 1-0 down he decided that was it.

But we've all watched it haven't we?

I thought we played great (compared to the first games) and lost a poor goal where they were very lucky to score it after miss hitting two passes.

That goal wasn't nothing to do with bad management, it was against the run of play, and we just had two shots on target saved..

Anyway, we're going the right direction, mind the gap 😆

Domination isn't a typical thing in the championship really. A handful of sides manage it but for many it's a slog

We’ve played well?

Yeah, compaired to the start of the season with seles, its a marked improvement..

Don't get me wrong, i wanted expansive football and to be entertained, but under seles we were a joke and nailed on to get relegated..shit teams were comimg and taking the piss..

We're all different, but we were in a relegtion battle, we aren't now..

I'd call that playing well..

But as i always say, we are all entitled to our opinion...

Fair play mate..
