Not really, our team with 5 changes won the game without too much effort, Donny will be playing their 3rd game in a week and apparently every player covered every inch of grass for them today

Phuck Donny, we'll soon bring them down to our level, I'm a lot more worried about the local derby in Febuary.

I've a feeling certain elements amongst the Blades support have the same characteristics as Paris Hilton. Nothing will ever be good enough for them.

4th in the table (nice result Blackpool today by the way), into the 5th round of the FA cup, 5 wins on the bounce and the form team in the division. Some still aren't satisfied! Maybe McCabe played up the progress a bit too much and the ambition was a little too optimistic, or at least the timescale; but just forget everything that he said and just look at where the club was 8 years ago and where they are now; Chalk and cheese. And for at least one supporter, gratitude that things have improved!

The trouble for SEB is, the stats say form team, the performances say not.

We've been consistently poor over the last 10 games (Wolves aside), and have been very lucky against very bad opposition on too many occassions. It's not just the poor performances that are worrying me, the football we are playing is rubbish to watch and I think people are finding going to games more like a chore at the moment.

Ask the Charlton fans if they'd like to swap places, swap boards and swap chairman? Actually you don't need to, because I work with quite a few and know their answer. This is a club that had several years in the PL and yet quickly find themselves failing quicker than a female british tennis player. It might not be pretty, it might be terribly frustrating to watch at the moment, but the bigger picture is much better than quite a few, including Charlton fans!

I'm not denying that one bit, but rather than looking at it that way I'd rather look at it and think with the players we've got why are we not doing better?

We're just a mediocre side at the moment, and I find it dissappointing.

eee by gum i wish i were gud wi words.............
just what i meant !

so on this basis, and working on the premise that we arent playing to our full potential, riddle me this..........

Would you take playng badly and winning over playing great and losing or the opposite?

5 wins on the bounce blah blah whoopeee doooo, against the might of Charlton, Watford, Orient etc, I know you can only keep beating what is put in front of you but come on if the grunters had done the same not even the most optimistic pig fan would think they were in top form (mind you they did put 4 past Charlton last week). As for McCabe we'll see how much ambition he has in the next week or so but it's not looking like much at the moment. Looking at the state of the club 8yrs ago yes we had no money and only 3 or 4 decent players and were playing shit football but don't try making out that McCabe changed all that he didnt, Derek Dooley was chairman when Warnock was appointed and he had to sell our best striker to raise the cash. At that time McCabe didn't put any money into the team so in reality nothing much has changed unless of course we are meaning a nice new hotel, fitness clubs, foreign clubs a business centre and two of the corners filling in at the lane. What really has changed on the field, we're still in the same division, we have got arguably better players but we are still playing shit football !!!! Some of you lot are so easily pleased, I wonder if we'll be clapping like seals when the mighty Donny and the pigs turn us over because make no mistake on our present form they will do.

Why can't there be a middle ground with some people?

If you point at the performances and say you're slightly concerned then you're knocking the team.

If you point at the results and say that while you see the concerns, you're happy to be where we are... you're "clapping like a seal".

The labels add nothing to the discussion.

Sorry Linz but my post was in response to being labeled as one who would never be happy no matter what the Blades did.

Again sorry if I've hit a raw nerve just saying it the way I see it.

I wasn't just referring to you, I was aiming it at people in general :)

Labelling people as one or the other tends to gloss over their real opinions... when in reality, we all tend to converge somewhere in the middle.

Me... I am glad that we are where we are in the table. But play offs and the Premiership? I think we'd be made fools of because we aren't playing that well, more grinding out results. So what am I? A middler? :D

I have concerns over KB's management of "big" games. Take Wednesday for example. These were games that NW loved because he knew how to inspire players when the chips were down, as much as some people disliked the way he dealt with other matters. Can you see KB leading us to a game like Forest at home?

I think NW was a more robust character and more willing to take risks because of a certain arrogance he had in his own ability... and this arrogance got passed on to the players. I think KB is more careful, less willing to take risks and therefore, less inspiring to the players. Look at the last few minutes yesterday. KB was urging his players to get upfield but still they crowded our box. They weren't confident to still be pushing with ten minutes left.

I think the crowd, the manager and the players need to have a little more confidence in each other so we can start to play good football with a swagger... because that's what everyone wants to see. Charlton away is probably the only time I've seen it this season and look at what we did then.

Hands up !..............you've got mi there.

I'd definitely take playing badly and winning, but the most frustrating thing for me is the match itself.

I think I've only been to 2 games this season where I've come out thinking, "That was a really good game of football". The standard of the entire league is poor, and I know we can produce better than what we are at the moment.

People who know me on here know I'm usually quite optimistic about things related to United, but at the moment I don't think the fans are getting value for money, regardless of results.

I genuinely fear for us if we do get up, because I think we'd get a huge wake up call if we did.

I honestly can't see that we'd do any better than Derby if we went up as we are now. We often seem shockingly naive and lacking any discernible tactic.

Isn't it your missus that's the Derby fan?

I think our main tactic at times is "win". When we concede, all the players seem to panic instead of trying to play our game. Hence the booting the ball down the field... it doesn't seem to matter where, as long as it isn't in our half.

PS: Just noticed your sig :D
