Note Wst Brom not in sight. Their home form is really poor.

Said earlier in the week the home games could be key.

#FORTRESS

Looking at the run in I think us and Leeds have a fairly tough one but on current form I would back us to take more points than them. Norwich on the other hand have an incredibly easy run in and should win the league with games to spare. I have a feeling we will need a point at Stoke to secure 2nd spot.

Looking at that table HMS Piss the League is up and running. Well 5th and 6 points behind the leaders after 6 games.

Win our home games. Take 8 points away and we finish on 90.
Should be enough for auto.

I don't get this. Surely away form is the same for some, West Brom have a good away record, end of the day, FUCK form, wins count, so we just need to win as many as poss, home or away, end of.

They're all worth three points. After last night I'm starting to dare to believe. A win next week would have us soaring. Get past the Leeds game in an auto spot and you'd have to back us.

Put it this way, Norwich will be glad they don’t have to play us again and Leeds will be wishing they didn’t have to play us in a couple of weeks time. In short everyone will fear playing us and rightly so, we just keep getting better and better and learning at a rapid rate of knots.

I think the “Europe in five years” comedy saying might not be far off or such a daft statement after all, not with the rate of knots we’re improving at. :)

Wasn't that about ten years ago

Steady on.

I didn't. But then did a predictor. We finished as champions on GD. And that was with us losing to west brom.

Interesting.

I mention it because I'm observing some "mild optimism" on here now from the majority (following the win at West Brom). I say "mild" optimism, because in the main, it amounts to a growing belief (although not set in concrete belief) that we are going to finish in the top 6 - I'd say most people, not all, but most on here, think that's likely.

Then, we have a few who are coming round to the idea that we've got a great chance of finishing in the "Top 2". And the number of those is growing too. But I don't hear many fans talking about us being Champions.

So, I'll kick us off then...

I think we are going to finish as Champions.

And the reason why I think that is because we are in great form, we are in a great league position, we have quality in depth with the squad, we have a better GD than others around us, we are one of the most difficult sides to play against because we play a very unconventional formation, we have a great manager who will ensure we keep battling away in every game until the task is done, etc.

It's not a case of counting chickens before they hatch - of course anything could happen yet - but based on all these factors I don't think it's unreasonable to expect us to finish top, never mind "top 2".

Anyone think we could finish as Champions? We’re doing rather well I’ve noticed.

Dare to dream!

yes - have for a while - it's like L1 again, except with much better opposition - but we have been slowly building momentum to this for a while now.

Well done to the management team.

I need to see a fat lady singing before I am convinced.

Very valid points. I'm on board.
