They are really chuffed that dispite not signing anybody they have managed to not sell any of their "Stars"
In Fessi ,Bannan, Lees and Reach.
And when you add Hopper to the above 4 well you have according to one fan
"5 of the best players in the division".
Dispite losing a few 1st team players from last season and signing none,
they seem really confident that they can make top 6.
While we have arguably slightly strengthened and got rid of a lot of dead wood are all doom and gloom.

Of course this could all change after Saturday, a win for us defeat for them such is the world of fickle football fans.

I think that’s quite likely and it’s a double edged sword for us in the sense that they lose a decent player, but it might help them out of the FFP mess.

By the way, somebody else mentioned it somewhere, that Fessi nickname is a real gear grinder for me. It’s not a real nickname for anybody. It’s almost as bad as the deferential “Mester Chanseereh” copyright Mark The Pitsmoor Armed Robber.

In Forestieri, Bannon, Lees and Reach and a fit Hooper, they do have 5 of the best players in the division. But they don’t have much else and they can’t add much either due to the embargo. So those players need to get fit, stay fit and hit top form if they are to have any chance of making the top 6. It’s not impossible but I think it’s unlikely.

As for us, based on what we’ve seen so far, and the strange transfer window, I think we’re going to struggle. I’ve been pretty consistent with that view since pre season and have seen nothing much to change my mind so far.

Wedneday's big problem is at the end of the season their best players will all be out of contract, with the exception of Reach, Forestieri and Lees.The latter two will have one year left. They'll be in a transfer embargo next season and have no money to offer new contracts to offset the exodus; or replace said players with expensive acquisitions.Chansiri looks like he has decided to attempt to throw the double six of promotion this season, which would render all the above meaningless. If they are in the bottom half by the time the January window comes about, I'd expect a January exodus from the sty.The financial realities will be staring the owner in the face by then.
United need to stay up and hope the ownership saga is resolved. On balance, I'd rather our situation than Wendy's

oddly, I bumped into a friend this morning (he's a trade union president as it goes) and he invited into his garage where he had 5 or 6 Harleys, a couple of hot rods a flat tracker? a spade-head, an iron-head and a lovely Italian made Harley from 1978 which still had the original paint job and transfers .... very Charlie's Angels.

I'm not into bikes at all but this morning was filled with them!
