Probably the most awesome thing about getting out of this league (if we do) will be the new opportunities for hilarious rumours.

"Bale signs". Its some crappy village sign.

"Hendo signs permanent deal". And its Joshua Hendingbergersteinsozua, a rugby player in ouwatutu.

Etc etc.
Its gonna be great! :D

Wow, my dad wouldn’t let he have Montgomery on my kit because his name was too long. Imagine how the kids that have grown up idolising Joshua Hendingbergersteinsozua feel :oops:

Have you not noticed that Knowsnowt is the Prince of Darkness? Slips in under cover of night to start a thread when the Mods are asleep or at their lowest ebb, and then melts away into the dark night unmolested.

Whilst inflicting the trauma of being a Blade on your juvenile shoulders he protected you from the additional burden of constant abuse surrounding your chosen idol / icon

I can't wait to see the lack of ambition in some of these threads. I wonder if we'll have a campaign to sign Stuart Beavon again? Then again, maybe we'll have fans saying we don't need to sign any strikers, because all ours are good enough, but instead, we really need to sign a new groundsman because the Desso is cutting up rough in places and players are getting friction burns off the plastic bits.

I'm looking forward to seeing us linked with a player that none of us have ever heard of before - and then reading accounts from loads of folks saying what a good player he is and how they've always known about him. Oh yes, and those YouTube videos...I'm still drooling over the one about Florent Cuvelier.

I think it would be fun if we kept a record in terms of accuracy of these "rumours". I think if we did, we'd find that maybe one or two posters on here, out of all of us, are genuinely ITK - the rest of us haven't a clue and the rumour thread is for pure entertainment and fantasy value only.

I need to make a thread about how the rumours section will be about nothing but who to sell if we don't win on Saturday.

Restore the balance of threads.
