Why should he? He's been very good up till recently. McEveley hasn't been good or even moderately competent for months. When Kompany plays shite do city fans crucify him? If they had someone like McEveley Pretending to be a footballer every week, they'd crucify him and rightfully so.

On Tuesday, Edgar misplaced a pass quite badly as we tried to play the ball out from the back, the sort of error that made you think his confidence was slightly shaken. Trig Jnr (TY) said, and I quote " We've ruined him, he's the captain of Canada and we've ruined him".

It was quite funny at the time, but it's looking a more astute observation than I realised

It is looking very much like we've shattered Edgar's confidence. He isn't some spectacular player, but he is a fighter and a leader - Both of which you couldn't accuse him of being these past 2/3 matches.
