Sheffield Utd v them lot?
Villa v Birmingham?
Forest v Derby?
Villa v Leeds?
Boro v Sunderland?

We certainly have a lot of high profile games and it's a brilliant advertisement for 2nd tier English football with such big clubs at each other's throats, which one will be the most watched by neutrals do you think? I wouldn't like to say myself, the Sheffield derby will certainly be in with a shout but any of the above teams playing each other could have the highest viewing figures.

Villa vs Leeds probably has the most widespread appeal, it saddens me to say.

Agree re Villa v Leeds, although us v the pigs will be well publicised as the first steel city derby for a while and should stir a bit of interest

Boro v Sunderland?

Not this..miles apart, its not even a north east derby....smoggies have no affinity with the north east..most think they are yorkshiremen

Sunderland v Boro is like us against Barnsley
Not the derby that Sunderland fans consider first but could be a big game depending on what's riding on it

In terms of TV audience the Sheffield derby will still be of great interest to most football fans, and every bit as big as the other games

Sheffield derby will have by far the highest TV audience

They're both big clubs in Championship terms, but I doubt that this game would be of any real interest to (neutral) Premiership fans since it's just a standard game between two underachievers. On the other hand, I absolutely love watching local derbies at any level. In fact, they're generally much more interesting in the lower leagues, because you're more likely to have local players playing in the games. Something like Dundee vs Dundee United is TV gold for me.

That's because they are Yorkshiremen isn't it? Don't tell me you're one of them Blades that calls them "Geordies"?

I wonder how much neutral support the championship attracts though. I suspect, and I could be wrong, the majority of the people who watch it are supporters of clubs in the championship.

Yes, there are numerous GOOD games.

Of more importance to me is that the numpties at SKY realise the value of these games as against Stoke v Watford (as an example)

A new deal is apparently on the way - about time too.
