I hope that the awakening continues to be slow, especially as far as the bookies are concerned when they offer their initial odds for matches.

I remarked on here last year that I thought Chris Wilder could be as significant to United as was Bill Shankly to Liverpool. It is becoming an ever stronger feeling.

I have been following the Blades for over half their existence, so have seen plenty of ups and downs. I have always been hopeful, like the rest of us, but now feel genuinely optimistic about the future in a way which fills me with thanks, with smiles, and with pride.
